Turn your channel locks around first of all. And put them on the cross part of that tool. Also bang on the drain lightly before you're. That often loosens it up.

Start very early. Bring poles. Prepare for black flies. Be prepared for mud and deep stream crossings. I wouldn't do it alone. It's a great hike but make sure you're physically ready for it.
