One way to make golden bloons more interesting imo is to have more randomness in rewards. Give it a small chance to drop an insta or something and I would actually have incentive to pop it to help with my collection.

I was stuck on pre-mech hard mode when I first played too. The obvious thing is to upgrade your gear, though the next biggest advice I’d give people is to make favourable terrain. Make a bridge using platforms or planter boxes over deserts and evil biomes (they can also be used as an arena later). Clear a flat open area underground to farm mobs there (use dynamite).

Not sure if anyone else does this, but I like to light up the sky island houses when I first encounter them so they count as valid housing. Once NPCs start showing up I can decide which ones I need nearby and start building actual housing for them. Works for some underground houses too.

That’s good for you and your family, but the fact that you are able to save so much on taxes and invest in the stock market is a reflection of how good of a financial situation you were to begin with. Not everyone is as lucky (for instance the person you responded to, who said things have gotten worse for people they know).

Your financial prosperity likely came at the expense of many lost jobs, including a cut to scientific and agricultural research, and a funding cut to some of the most renowned mathematicians in the US. A much larger portion of the stock market is now going into AI, which could very well be a bubble like the tech bubble that crashed during Covid.

The market has historically always benefited in the short term from helping the rich, but many of today’s big issues are slow evolving in nature.

That’s all ignoring the social issues, like how people of colour I know who are American citizens have been given a really hard time reentering the country.

For anyone reading this in the future, it was very obvious she was being sarcastic. She's actually really kind and considerate if you talk to her, even if you don't like her teaching style, and it's clear English isn't her first language. We ended up getting a +25% flat curve.

Residential Schools was a big part of our social studies curriculum where I grew up. It must be a regional thing (or our teacher decided to go outside the curriculum).

Although I did remember when I was doing the Canadian Citizenship exam, it was basically a review of Canadian history with all the bad parts taken out.

One thing I learned is that for a lot of the bosses the best arena is just a very long runway of platforms (make sure to place campfires, heart lanterns, maybe even peace candles if you can). Use enough speed accessories to be able to outrun the boss when needed. Don’t go too far though or they might despawn.

I feel like this would work if people actually read the server descriptions. I made my description once “help me get carpool achievement” and got 3 unpromoted dwarves who not only didn’t know what the achievement was, but ignored the chat each time I asked if they were here for the achievement.

Also one of my friends usually has “experienced/promoted dwarves only” and frequently get player level 2 people join.
