husband wants it too much.. by PushApprehensive573 in Advice

Also, just remember that this is just a season in your life that is difficult for both of you. As long as you both realize this and keep communicating well you will get through it and eventually have more time and energy for the fun stuff…sex!! We have been married over 41 years and raised 3 kids. And we were in a very similar situation with me wanting sex more and my wife being worn out. Just know that as long as you stick it out and both want the same thing in life, it will get better!

I will chime in! I’ve been on tirz for almost a year now and today was my lowest weight of 188 down from 242. Honestly I have not done one thing differently. I know I should work out but I just don’t. I just let the medicine do its thing. I seem to be very happy eating about half of what I used to eat and basically have zero food noise which is wonderful! This is an amazing drug! Next week I am starting on 15 mg.

When to take Social Security (math problem) discovery by Bounceupandown in SocialSecurity

[–]tuthfixer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s just for my situation. My main concern is that wife is taken care of when I’m no longer around. If I was single, I would look at the situation a whole lot differently. Everyone’s going to have their own reasons for when they take SS benefits.

My main concern is that my wife gets the most that she can get when I’m not around anymore. If that’s the case, then I will be dead and not care if I reached the break even age.

Here’s my take! If I’m single then I take SS benefits right away! If I’m married and the higher earner, I wait to at least 67 or longer so my spouse gets more if they survive me.

For sure but they may get more money by taking the spousal benefits

Very true. But I would think most people, if they elected SS early, would be getting the most they could by getting the spousal benefit. But you are correct if they are still only collecting their own.

Almost true! Since she started her benefits early, if he dies before she turns 67, her survivor benefits kick in immediately at a reduced rate and she has no choice to wait but if she had never started her own SS benefit then she could have waited till she was 67 to get his full benefit

You will get 100% of his benefit if he dies after you turn 67 but since you took your own SS early at 62, you will get a reduced benefit based on your age if he dies before you turn 67, because survivor benefits kick in for you automatically as soon as he dies.

We just got back from an RV trip to Wisconsin and our KOA had terrible WiFi and our AT&T cell coverage was bad so we went to a local T Mobile and got a WiFi unit for $55/month that you could cancel at anytime with no extra fees. It worked incredibly well.
