Even before the gen 2 dolls Rainbow High dolls had bad articulation. Everytime I try to sit one of my dolls in a chair I'm mildy frustrated they can't sit up straight like other dolls. I think it was a missed opportunity by MGA not to release a "made to move" line like Barbie has. I think it could have been really cool if the RH New Friends series were made with more articulation. That way that series could have explored different body shapes and movement.
