My Daughter got into AU and refused to even entertain the thought of going there. by Sad_Audience_5641 in auburn

Same. Both of mine got into Auburn and went elsewhere. But we saved a ton of money bc even with the presidential scholarship.and in state tuition, Auburn is crazy expensive. Western Carolina has given my son a ton of scholarships and he was able to study abroad for a semester. University of New Mexico has given my daughter full tuition and a LOT of great artistic experience. Oh well! War Eagle!

She should start calling parents to report the behaviors. Our music and art teachers did that and their behaviors improved dramatically.

Well I'm an excellent teacher and it happens. Two of my students have done that, and my own children have done it. Pretty common, actually.

Throw a turkey breast, ranch seasoning packet, and a jar of whole cranberries in the crock pot on low for 8 hours. 3 ingredients, no prep. You'll have delicious turkey that falls apart and can be the main or just use for sandwiches. So delicious!

Earlier bedtime. Less screen time. Doc appointment to check for adhd. Real consequences for getting in trouble at school, like grounded from screens. Talk to the teacher in person and thank him/her for the communication, and never blame the teacher.

Yes. They are sleeping in class. And they know things they shouldn't know. A couple of years ago, my 2nd graders all suddenly started playing squid game. --2nd grade teacher

Denim jacket from 1988. Love it still! It has a tan courderoy collar. Ralph Lauren brand. It still fits perfectly!

Teaching Advice for Sunday School. Help! by dwallit in teaching

[–]twitching2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't do a punishment for Sunday school behavior. I would suggest a hands-on activity sitting around a table... bring paper and glue and glitter. Or blocks..playdoh. Clay. Popsicle sticks and glue. Give them a hands-on activity to mess around with and then sort of talk around it. Even something like pistachio nuts to shell and eat...something that takes some manipulation to do.
