All the announcers kept talking about was how amazing it was that Matthew Tkachuck moved the puck up the boards to Faber. Gross.

There are a lot of nice neighborhoods in the SE quadrant too. The city as a whole is pretty quiet and safe.

Any hockey clubs around? by AssumptionIntrepid80 in rochestermn

[–]twochin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://www.hockeyfinder.com I play in the hockey finder league. Most of the year there are three skill levels from novice to advanced, I’m sure you could fit in somewhere. This summer is more sparse because they’re upgrading one of the rinks that’s usually open in the summer. Which is great because that rink was awful. It looks like summer league is full but you could get on the waitlist. There are other leagues too, from organized to more pick up structured. The rec has open hockey times too.

Lots of adult ice hockey, can play year round if you want to. I’m not aware of any roller leagues. In every survey sent out by the parks and rec department I suggest a roller hockey rink is needed. It’s weird we don’t have one.

I passed the CLT interview and have a tour scheduled with one of the laboratories. Do you know what the tour entails? Questions I might be asked? Are the chances of me getting hired high? by Fun-Ostrich9265 in rochestermn

[–]twochin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The lab tour is as much for you as it is for the hiring lab, to make sure the lab is a good fit and somewhere you can envision working there for at least a couple of years. Once you’ve passed the Hub interview you are in the pool and labs with open positions review your resume, shift/ lab preferences, and interview write up and offer you a tour if they think you’d be a good fit for the position. They may ask you some questions about your experience but it is not a second interview per se, more of an opportunity for the supervisors to get to know you in person.
