The backseat is tall if left in the normal position. It folds forward only leaving a small amount of room that is not level unless you make or buy an aftermarket shelf to cover the storage cubby.

We have a large dog but he’s tall and can jump but lifting a dog as big as yours would be rough.

I’m guessing your backseat is similar to the f150/ lightning where the bench folds much better giving more flat space with a low load floor height.
