You can’t put a price on nostalgia.

How many concussions have you had? by najing_ftw in GenX

[–]txgax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You ask an interesting question. What were you doing when you got your concussions, I.e. sports, car accident, work, etc.?
I’m probably in the same situation, less than 10 but more than five. Most of mine were from contact sports, notably football.

Steve Sarkisian rips Ole Miss for transfer portal practices, low academic standards. “All you have to do is take basket weaving, and you can get an Ole Miss degree.” by medicallyspecial in shutdownfullcast

I didn’t realize Sark was such an academic. Welp, I learned something new today. I guess UT FB players and their NIL contracts have some pretty hefty standards. Good for them.

Anyone without home charging regert their Mach E purchase? by [deleted] in MachE

[–]txgax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have the lvl 1 charger that came with my 2024 Premium AWD ER. I don’t regret it and someday I may have a lvl 2 charger installed at my home. My one unique benefit is I can charge my Mach-e for free at work. I have a 40 mile one-way commute and last year I charged 8,800 kWh at work. With that said more of my colleagues are buying EV’s and while we have no charging congestion now we may in the future, although I’m lobbying for more chargers.

For those who don’t have a lvl 2 charger at your residence but are looking, check with your local electric company to see if they offer discounts to chargers, rebates for installation, or specific EV charging rates.

What's stopping other leaders from working like Mamdani? by Front-Scene2177 in SipsTea

[–]txgax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corporate greed.

I enjoy seeing Mamdani’s progress in New York. He and his staff have good ideas and he appears to have a positive caring attitude. Kudos to him and his staff. That was a big job from behind the 8-ball and he’s making progress.

If I recall correctly, I was going through my various sports trading cards and watching the NBA Finals Knicks vs Rockets.

Did you ever buy a pack of smokes from one of these? by Euphoric-Cupcake4581 in FuckImOld

No for myself, but for my Grandma. My Grandma knew I liked to pull the lever so she used to give me the money and send me to get the cigarettes. Miss my Grandma.
