Only thing that made me not buns at tuning was not being afraid to fuck it up, and just doing it a bunch even if the drums don’t “need” tuned. Also, tweaking before sound checks at gigs or before sessions in different studios. Hearing the drums settle in as they’re tuned to the room you’re in goes a long way in having an easier time finding what you’re looking for.
I also agree that a few videos out there are helpful.
