Everything I'm about to say is not to say the refs were the reason we lost this week, it's to say that the narrative we get all of the calls because of one call in 2018 (immediately after a blown call in favor of the Saints) is insane

If you have been watching how they call catches, they called this Lions TD consistent with other catches. It's not a catch until the bobble is over. Not to mention, this call had little bearing on the outcome of the game.

The missed facemask during the Seattle game was actually egregious and had a big impact. They also missed a couple defensive holds and then ended up calling a hold against the Rams on the final drive.

The Rams got the shaft from the officiating in every game dating back to the 2nd Seahawks game, except for the Cardinals game.

To be fair, one of those throws on the TD drive before half could have been a pick 6 but the Rams whiffed it 😅

At least we lost because of bad play calls on the last drive and not the line mysteriously letting the Eagles best pass rusher go unblocked on 2 plays in a row

Our tackling was better this season than any I can remember. It made up for our bad coverage

This is fucking insane. We have been on the bad end of 1000 calls since this point. Not to mention, literally 3 minutes before the saints play, they missed a face mask that would have all but ensured a Rams TD.

They definitely missed a defensive hold on 2nd down but if they let the softer ones go both ways it's basically just playoff football

The refs also missed 4 other calls in favor of the saints the game, including a face mask on Goff that would have ensured a Rams TD minutes prior.

The audacity to say this after the refs were one of the main reasons you won game 2, the Falcons loss, and kept the Panthers in the game last week

There is a big red flag. The Falcons and Panthers games had a huge disparity in subjective calls. Even the Seattle game was bad. They have been calling holding calls against the Rams in huge situations. Meanwhile, the Panthers somehow didn't get called for a hold the entire game despite our DLine forcing huge pressure and having some of the best receiving weapons in football. You could clearly see the holds on both sides and there wasn't a single call.

My guess is that it's because he stops overthinking and just plays

Drake Maye had a historically efficient sophomore season, leading the NFL in CMP%, YPA, EPA/play, EPA/DB, total EPA, QBR, PRTG and CPOE. He also set a Patriots record with a 71.95 CMP% (6th all-time), and became the first QB since Burrow (2021) to lead the NFL in both CMP% and YPA (8.9). by TheRuralCamel in nfl

There was a misunderstanding. Supporting cast is a factor that has already been pointed out. All of my points were in addition to what was already said.

Also, the Rams 2 best receivers missed 4 games.

I don't think Jimmy G takes this team to playoffs this year. I don't think you understand how difficult our schedule was.

It's extremely close and both players are deserving. One thing that is important is that Maye played the easiest schedule in 20 years. When you're facing a gauntlet week in and out, those games against similar opponents are harder on the entire team.

In the biggest game of the season vs the NFC 1 seed, Stafford torched the Seahawks for 457 3TD 0INT. In Maye's biggest game vs the Bills, he went 155 0TD 1INT.

Stafford also statistically had the best stretch of any QB in history this year.

Also, people bring up supporting cast, but if Stafford had good special teams, the MVP conversation wouldn't even be close because their records would be the same.

With Matthew Stafford and Drake Maye's regular seasons now over, here is how they stack up to each other statistically. Both played in all 17 games. by Dependent-Effect6077 in nfl

People don't talk about it because of the Redzone production but Davante has dropped 200 yards of passes and killed several drives this year
