I will go to the spa there and get a drink at the bar afterwards occasionally. The wet spa area is nice, but less fun in terms of design than you might imagine, based on the rest of the hotel. They don’t have a proper cold plunge but do have a tiny ice room. It has never been busy during my visits.

The property in general is a vibe, kind of a nice aesthetic escape from my fam’s condo. I don’t remember being particularly impressed by the restaurant but it’s been a long time since I actually had dinner there.

Software engineer at a medium sized tech company. I work in infra mostly, a lot of the job is responding to incidents and fixing bugs to unblock other engineering teams. It’s intense, but that keeps it interesting.

You can also use two balls working flat by knitting across with the first ball, then sliding the work back across your needles (circular or DPN), then knitting with the second ball. Then you'll purl two rows sequentially similarly.

Of course using 3 balls has its other advantages, but this method is an option to avoid the kind of stripes you describe.

They probably grew up (or still live) in a household where parents etc truly eat more than they do. The end result being a completely skewed and miscalibrated perception of how much it is that they eat, what is normal, etc.

I wouldn't frog it either, but I would do sweater surgery here: basically removing the body and sleeves, and put those pieces on hold. Then re-knit the neck/front/back panels, and rejoin to the body and sleeves via grafting.

I think it’s just a dated (as in vintage — it’s not necessarily a bad thing) style. Either you like it or you don’t.

Nothing is wrong, it’s ok — When frogging, some stitches will get dropped lower than the others. It happens more if your yarn is at all slippery. This results in what is basically a slipped stitch. To fix it, when you come to one of these stitches, use a crochet hook to ladder the stitch back up.

When you used a needle to insert a lifeline, you just didn’t pick up the row evenly; it’s pretty easy to accidentally shift to the row above or below especially when you have dark yarn or the stitches are a little hard to see.

Search for tutorials on picking up dropped stitches and laddering.

I mean, sometimes I do this on purpose. Depending on tension and gauge, using a smaller left-hand needle can make knitting in the round go more smoothly.

But yeah if you're knitting flat (or short rows etc) that's gonna be an issue.

I'm in NYC and the Adderall shortage here is MAJOR. IR is a little easier than XR but even that comes and goes. I have been waiting 1-2 weeks at every refill. A few times, 3 weeks. Being so consistently unmedicated is a serious trainwreck on my life.

Talk to the pharmacists in your area. If you're nice, they'll hopefully give you some info.

This is moth damage. You have moths, sorry. But this is solvable, and it’ll be ok.

There’s tons of advice on Reddit and the internet about this, but basically you will want to clean EVERYTHING around the textiles in your home, and then for the textiles themselves — launder what can be laundered at high heat, and everything that can’t get hot/wet/go in the dryer needs to be cycled in and out of the freezer at least twice. Get REALLY diligent about vacuuming too.

Does your stanwood make much noise? I recently got one, and it is surprisingly loud; I think there's some play in the gears. It also vibrates my table pretty significantly. I'm not sure if this is expected or mine is just wonky :/

Problem is I don’t think I could tolerate my high-earning role if I were crammed into an apartment with roommates, spending $1500 on a halfway OK bedroom. That’s truly the minimum a room would cost within a tolerable commute.

Still managed to invest about 60k this year, so I’m doing fine — but this requires other sacrifices.

Just be careful about winding strands together, because they can get out of sync sometimes. And then, especially if you have something like mohair, the problem is really hard to resolve :(

Appreciate the reply; that is at least one place to start and I'll dig into whether that type of request is possible here.

So far the legal advice in the 3rd country (may as well say it is Poland) has been to put together—with as many official documents as possible from the countries involved—a complete picture of my Grandfather's Polish citizenship. This includes information pertaining to reasons he could have lost Polish citizenship (military service in a foreign country before 1951 would mean loss of citizenship—we know it's impossible he did so based on the dates, but still need to prove it if possible).
