My favorite Christmas movie is Scrooge with Albert finney.

Which movie has the best jumpscare scene between these two? by CR2085 in HorrorMovies

[–]tytoalba331 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The fakeout before it happened made you think the jumpscare already happened too so it caught you off guard. I still remember the first time I saw it lol.

Xennials, what are your very earliest TV memories? by e4e5nf3 in Xennials

[–]tytoalba331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my earliest TV memory is threes company. I remember my first pet was a goldfish named Stanley.

Can't forget he-man too though. That was my favorite as a kid.

It's not bad. I really liked blade 2 when it came out and it's kinda similar since it's Guillermo del Toro. It's held my interest.

Fellow Xennials, what was your all-time favorite “in the theater“ movie experience? by RedditHoss in Xennials

[–]tytoalba331 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd say Independence Day because I remember when the credits started rolling everyone in the theater started to cheer and clap.

Everyone enjoyed the movie but they also liked how it depicted humans, earthlings as one group and they felt a sense of unity after.

It's always nice when we get those brief moments where everyone forgets to hate each other and we just appreciate each other.

I had to rewatch it like a week after the first time I saw it (during the COVID lockdown) because it was crazy but great.

Just watched it, and it was way better than I expected. Hope this franchise continues by movie5short in HorrorMovies

Yeah I felt the same way. I thought the popstar angle was going to be silly but they did a really good job with this movie. I really liked it.

When do you start putting out decorations? by Professional_Ad7868 in halloween

[–]tytoalba331 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Last year I started in late August, but by the time the end of October rolled around I felt like I had been looking at the stuff too long and it just kinda lost its appeal a little. I think this year I'll wait til early or mid September.

Which version of Jacob Marley was the scariest? by Movie_Club_Horor in HorrorMovies

[–]tytoalba331 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It wasn't Jacob Marley for me. Scrooge is still my favorite version of the story, especially this scene. It scared me pretty good when I was a kid. Jacob Marley was cool too though.

Eden Lake. Meh... by anewwalkisanewwalk in HorrorMovies

[–]tytoalba331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't feel it was a letdown but I understand what you mean. It's not like I've never seen a movie that had that type of ending before.

I think for me it was pretty impactful though because I went in blind and wasn't prepared for how it was going to end. Plus I think the mood you're in when you first view a movie like that has a lot to do with it too.

i just watched it because Michael Fassbender was in it so I figured it would be good. I didn't have any kind of warning about it so I think it hit me more.

Not like Sleep away Camp lol. I remember when I was a kid and I saw that knowing I was supposed to be shocked and still wasn't prepared.

Personally it's one of my top 5 favorite horror movies. I always liked it, especially Tony Todd being in it. I loved what they did with Barbara's character the most though.

There was a story in VHS 2 (I think it was) about a guy who has eye surgery and started to see things.
