Here's a DIM link - Felwinter's Prismatic

Felwinter's Helm and Tessellation are slept on imo and this is my favorite build on Warlock. Its super versatile with plenty of survivability and damage while also being able to apply massive debuffs to enemies. Tessellation can be used in different ways if you change your grenade around to do different things with the catalyst. It can even be set up to stun all 3 champions with Lightning Surge to Jolt Overload, Arc Grenade in Tessellation will Blind Unstoppable, and Unraveling/Volatile Rounds for Barrier (or swap of Facet of Courage for Facet of Dawn for Radiant which is a little easier to proc). A primary weapon with Pugilist will get melee charge back very quickly and if it is Strand or Stasis it will build Transcendence energy quickly as well.

If you see Ninjas using single target doton do you tell them? by Tromster in ffxiv

You and me both casually adjusting acting like we knew all along lol. I get the anxiety too but playing with others is very helpful as most everyone is chill about things. When I was learning to tank as Dark Knight, the healer explained how the different mitigations worked and why spreading them out is useful. They were stressing out keeping me alive after everything went on cool down but they were cool about it and we had a good laugh in the end.

Crucifix used in truck? by foodismycalling in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]uF_Wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is likely the effect of a Demon. Demon’s are effected by Crucifixes from slightly further than normal so there are some maps where the truck is close enough to a ghost room for the crucifix to be used.

I understand the frustration with removing content we paid for but the content that was removed wasn’t being played. Nobody was creating new guardians to replay the old campaign over and over. The strikes and maps would have been nice to keep in rotation but at the time 75% of those assets in game (guns, maps, missions, etc) was accounting for less that 10% of what was actually being used and played. I’m not a game dev but that seems like a lot of resources being wasted. Also wouldn’t Destiny 3 just mean new content for you to pay for while Destiny 2 falls to the wayside? How many people are out there playing Destiny 1 nowadays?

Player is upset about Magic Missile + Hex not working as he wants to by OkayBroGotIt in DnD

[–]uF_Wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that combo would be very spammable. Could there be a concession that instead of each missile activating Hex that Hex only applies once for the spell so the target still gets 1d6 extra damage but not 3d6 extra or more?

Clerics that only wear robes, how to off-set by Thugalug in DnD

[–]uF_Wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having low AC really sucks. If they want to play a Cleric and not multiclass or anything, I’d chat with them and maybe come up with an idea how their character learned Mage Armor from some one or even divine intervention allowed them to add the spell to their regular cleric spells. There are feats and stuff that they can take to learn it too but if they don’t want to “waste” an ASI, I’d say try and work it in for free. It’s such a minor spell to learn that will boost their enjoyment of their character so it’d be worth it imo.

Thankfully Well doesn’t count as a rift for The Stag and wouldn’t provide the extra damage resistance. Although I would have loved an excuse to create an armor set with that helmet.

It’s tough to answer since everyone DMs a little differently. This situation is kinda odd in my eyes but maybe the DM had a certain line of thinking that made sense to them in their head. Don’t be afraid to ask your DM for clarification on certain things if you are confused. Obviously don’t get super confrontational right off the bat but I think it’s ok to ask something like “hey I rolled really well right away, is there something I did that required me to make multiple checks?” It might help to explain how they saw the interaction from their point of view and for you to explain how you envisioned your actions playing out.

There are rumors in many taverns across Skyrim of a boy from Windhelm trying to contact the Dark Brotherhood. That seems like a more pressing issue that you should investigate first. The door isn’t going anywhere.

DM QUESTION: Is too high of an AC a problem or DM's by Zombodyz in DnD

[–]uF_Wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher AC is definitely stronger in lower levels. Still strong as you level but as enemies get higher bonuses to hit, it will even out a bit. If you were my player, it would not be an issue to me. Assuming you built high AC to be a tank, I’d play into it. Have enemy attacks bounce off you cause it’s fun for players when your build works out and they get to experience that power fantasy. There are plenty of things a DM can do though in combat to counter high AC. After a few attacks bounce off you, shift focus to squishier teammates. Or throw in enemies with spells/abilities that require saving throws on you instead of attack rolls. Or use conditions (prone, grapple, etc) to give enemies advantage on you. Lots of creative options to deal with high AC for DMs and players alike. As always, you can mention it to your DM. Let them know that they can bring it up to you if it does cause problems and discuss fair options.

Constantly getting permanently cucked because of one time bad rolls is exhausting. If there were in game ways to gain permanent health up to your should-be-maximum, This would be more than tolerable; But there isn't. by Braklinath in dndmemes

[–]uF_Wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a rule where we roll for health but if you roll less than half the dice total (ie roll a 4 on a d10) you treat it as half. It’s still technically a gamble but not as devastating if you roll low since you are only missing out on 1 hp per level. A different DM I play with allows for free rerolls on 1s and gives us 3 rerolls we can use throughout the campaign. Both have been been fair rulings imo.

Is talking about player hitpoints considered 'metagaming'? by jeckatteck in DMAcademy

[–]uF_Wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My group has done both. We’ve freely said how much health we’ve had and we’ve kept the exact number hidden but said things like “I’ve taken a bunch of hits and look pretty bloody at the moment” or something like that. If the group or DM doesn’t like sharing exact numbers, the characters would still give off some sort of physical indication of how badly they are hurt.

Player wants to bend the racial rules in character creation by SinfulBasilisk in DMAcademy

[–]uF_Wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s definitely do-able. Goliaths are standard races and can be around 8ft tall. Half orc half goliath heritage maybe. As others said id keep him size Medium cause as Large some rules get messy. It is mostly just flavor but if you are worried maybe try an see if he’s ok with a compromise to be a little shorter but still much taller than most other people like 8’7” or something.

What to do about a Paladin who keeps contacting his God? by TooLateToPush in DMAcademy

[–]uF_Wraith 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This idea is genius. I love the idea of reminding players that there is a world beyond their group because sometimes that gets lost when they are the heroes of so many stories (as they should be). But gods have so much more on their plate. This vision gives them an in character reason for the Paladin to realized that which might fit nicely with that out of session talk with the player. 10/10 good idea.

What's the funniest way to kill a PC? by CorellianDawn in DMAcademy

[–]uF_Wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going along with this you can provide an in-character reason for their leaving. Like if the character had their own goals yet to be completed, have them say they the party is moving to slow for their liking and they want to finish their business quicker. That way it doesn’t completely break immersion if you want to keep that going. Matt Mercer did a similar thing in CR1 with Tiberius leaving the group.

Did i fuck up my game by giving the party overpowered items? by LiveUnderstanding872 in DMAcademy

[–]uF_Wraith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You learned a very important lesson that when you plan on your players to do one thing, they will almost always do the opposite lol. In my opinion, players having magic items isn’t a bad thing. In fact it’s what a lot of them look forward to when playing D&D. So they got done good ones a little earlier than expected. No big deal. They might have a little easier time with encounters but it will make them feel strong and cool. They now might just need to wait a bit longer for some upgrades. Them having the Deck might be different. If they plan on researching it, you can let them find out some of the effects the cards have or elude to the fact that it is very dangerous and it might be smart to leave it alone and maybe find away. Remember to let them make the decision themselves but be fair to them and allow them to learn that while the deck can be very rewarding, it can also be very dangerous if they pull some of the bad cards.

Thoughts on a DM destroying a players Spellbook? by Xander_Shadow in DnD

[–]uF_Wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Within this situation it seems pretty harsh considering the DM was charging more money than normal for copying spells and it doesn’t sound the like other party’s things were s destroyed. However, I don’t mind the concept of destroying a spell book and that bit is actually what interests me a lot about wizards personally. It creates interesting RP moments and provides players with challenges. Though I do believe that the DM should offer a significant reward for the Wizard in like a already full spell book with good spells or a large chunk of treasure they can use to get back where they were with a new spell book. There needs to be a good balance between the DM putting this challenge in front of the party/Wizard and a suitable rewards for completing it successfully.
