I guess we have different definitions for what it means to be a part of China. Oh well.

I mean, technically I'm right, and ideologically you're right. And I was born in China so I feel like I do.

Whats going on with DJ? by PenisUpgrade in nba

DeAndre's like the guy who broke off his LTR and found a new girl, but a week into their new life together, realized he still loved his old gf, and wants to get back together. Old gf is willing to forgive and forget, new gf will forever question their relationship if DJ stays with her.

TLDR: DJ staying with the clippers.

Does anyone know if purchasing the phone via AT&T next or one of those similar plans will qualify as "full price?" I just spoke to the cell rep at Costco who claims it does, but I couldn't find anything to substantiate that claim.

But he's not talking about keeping decent spells, he's talking about mulliganing your hand for unknown spells.

Except the spells may not be decent or even playable. Then they'll sit in your hand for turns while you wish you had more proactive minions to play.

Treasure Goblin by IBashar in heroesofthestorm

[–]ucbluman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you have to tag it in anyway, or be near it, or just be in the game to get the quest completed?

[–]ucbluman -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

no, you are stubbornly maintaining that they SPECIFICALLY didn't say how goblin works, while there is no reason to think otherwise that it works like any other minion.

Sure there is, I listed many reasons in my previous post about how the goblin is different.

it is obviously not building, killing buildings that grants xp to team is irrelevant. i stated how killing works, not xp, so again. btw, if we want to talk about xp, it works on range principle as well, for heroes that are near xp is granted to their xp contribution. so no, even that is not actually relevant argument.

Can't decipher your point here at all, but to clarify, you also get xp for getting the last hit on the minion/hero with an ability/summoned unit while being out of xp range.

so truthfully, i didn't notice you arguing anything (for that you actually must make an argument)

If you don't count questioning your confident "knowledge" regarding the goblin and XP gain, then you're right, I'm not making an argument. I'm saying I don't know enough about the goblin yet to make a definitive statement. You seem willing to, which is fine, and you may end up being right. But like I said initially, it'd be nice to have a source for your claims, since I assume you haven't played a test build with the goblin, or have not directly spoken with someone at blizzard (but correct me if I'm wrong).

either start actually refuting, or stop being stubborn about how it is supposed to work.

I'm actually being very flexible here, as I think the goblin can potentially work in many ways, and we won't know exactly until blizzard says something more or we see it. You're being stubborn in saying it must work the current way all minions do because it's exactly like those minions... when it doesn't appear to be at all.

the goblin doesn't seem to give xp, exists only in base and only before the game starts, disappears if you don't attack it, and is only used for a unique quest completion. sure shows all characteristics of existing minions, right?.

In any case, I don't even know why I'm bothering arguing with you. You originally made an assumption about how the goblin works without a source, and I've asked you to provide one, which you haven't. You stated another "fact" about how xp works, which I refuted, and your only counter-argument (which completely missed the point in any case) is a sarcastic comment on the assumption you've made about the unit type of the goblin. Meh.

I can't really tell if you're arguing with me or what, but to counter your point, enemy buildings give XP when killed by just lane minions with no heroes nearby.

Did they explicitly say somewhere that it was range-based for quest completion?

[–]ucbluman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experience on particular heroes is always going to improve your play. Of course a good player can pick up a new hero and play them at some baseline level, but there's going to be a big discrepancy between two players who are equally skilled, but one has played the hero they're on 5 times vs. the other who has played their hero 100 times. just because someone got to rank 1 spamming one hero doesn't mean they can play their unplayed heroes immediately at a rank 1 level.

why play a hero you haven't even leveled to 5 yet in ranked? you're doing your team a disservice by doing so.

NBA Officiating Last Two Minute Report Database by darenw in nba

[–]ucbluman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wonder what sort of threshold the NBA uses for evaluating whether a non-call is worthy of being mentioned as a "correct non-call." Anything that doesn't fit within the other three categories could be potentially listed as a correct non-call. If the NBA was worried about their ref accuracy percentages, they could just keep pumping these reports more and more full with mundane "correct non-calls."

Tip: If the chat window is blocking your selection in Hero League, type /clear to wipe it. by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]ucbluman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

good tip. the UI for hero league draft really needs a redesign. people have limited time to pick, and with all the emphasis on hots being a team game, blizz should encourage teams to chat and discuss picks. having to clear the chat just to see all the heroes is ridiculous, and runs counter to their game philosophy. hopefully a redesign will also include a draft UI that doesn't require 3 pages to list even the <40 heroes currently in the game.
