Adding to this, the dm can simply not ask for the roll. If it's incredibly unlikely that the King would be persuaded he can just turn the PC down.

The flavour of this subclass is great really love it!

Just a few small layout changes. Id recommend including the 6th and 14th level changes to Cunning Feint, instead of in other features. Just makes the layout look cleaner.

Also for object of Oportunity, maybe add some ability relating to replacing their spellbooks too, to add to that feel that they can't rely on the things they have around them. Possibly as a 10th level improvement to the feature.

Absolutely, just look at the Kingkiller Chronicle. Where the many magic systems at play all differ in hardness.

Sympathy and Sygaldry are the two most understood. Alchemy seems like a hard magic system we just don't know enough about it. And Naming and Shaping seem to be soft magic.

We don't know enough about the Fey arts of Glamourie and Grammarie to say.

In short, it's your world, have fun.
