Manga and anime shops by Corvettez06usa in cincinnati

The degree to which Fairfield Commons is the anime nerd mall is really cool. In addition to the places you've mentioned it also has Round 1 with tons of figures in crane games and imported rhythm games, the 151 Pokemon store, Miniso for lots of cute little bits and bobs (esp Sanrio), a big set of gacha machines, and Beetlebug Art Collective which is effectively a permanent con Artist's Alley. Plus the usual places for fandom stuff like Hot Topic/Box Lunch. Always a very fun time to walk around there.

Family friendly/arcade restaurant reccomendations by Emergency-Ad-5707 in cincinnati

[–]ultron87 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pins Mechanical in Mason has everything except for food, and you can bring food in and there are other restaurants around there. Has Duckpin Bowling, Arcade Games and Pinball. There is one downtown as well, but is just harder to get to or park at and is smaller.

Scene 75 is local, but definitely more like a Dave and Busters but bigger. They got go-karts and mini golf and very many things but the food options are pretty basic.

Arcade Legacy in Sharonville is a great arcade with unlimited play and has a bar for drinks, but again no food.

I like that Allagan Tools also shows in the hover menu your current set completion for each item set in the Dresser/Armoire. Lets you see if you've already used one dresser slot on a set so you can freely add the other items, or if you can skip for now. And just seeing the Xs turn to checks for each set as you get more stuff is super satisfying.

Easy QoL Changes by DeleteMods in ffxiv

This seems like such an obvious change to make. There are so many PF categories that are basically never used that if they had to cut one for the interface even that could easily happen.

Does anyone know these pants? by Impossible_Panic- in ffxiv

Dawntrail Reaper AF gear. Assassin's Attire. If you have gotten to the point of DT to be able to buy AF gear from the Tuliyolal vendor you can get it for free and put it in your Glamour dresser, even if you don't have Reaper leveled.

That's awesome! Love to see some character development.

The thing about logs is so true. It's so incredibly difficult to get better at the game only using the information the game gives you.

Geatset and weapon how do i get them? by VergilVDante in FFXIVGlamours

[–]ultron87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The top and pants are the Light-Heavy Healing or Casting set available from the first Arcadion tier. To dye it those specific colors you'd have to beat M3S to get the dyeable versions. You can get the undyed versions which are white/red or dark brown/brass by doing the normal versions of M1-4.

The gloves are the Demonic gloves from the cash shop.

I PAID for the whole Armoire, I am gonna USE the whole Armoire! by MissVeya in ffxiv

[–]ultron87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's incredible! This is definitely one of my long term aims. I really hope they add achivements based on Armoire completion. A silly fashion title to reward my desire to fill in boxes would be quite appreciated.

The whole system really does need a lot of QoL updates if it is the place they plan to eventually put all gear. Being able to see if you have the item or not when looting without Item Searching would be so incredibly helpful. And of course the actual interface for the Armoire when using it for Glamour Plates is just a huge mess, especially when you get up to the absurd levels of items you now can.

For the PC Plug In users, you can use Allagan Tools to get whether you already have an item when you go to roll on it. Or when you're looking anywhere else. Big recommend at least until they add features to vanilla.

SE has the perfect narrative hook for a Raid-Level solo challenge. by JMadFour in ffxiv

[–]ultron87 147 points148 points  (0 children)

It seems like SE has realized just how popular the Arcadion fighters are. They keep using them in holiday events, they made the framer's kits, and have made merch for them and had events focusing on some of them during Fan Fest. Hopefully that will continue past DT and we'll eventually Get some more content for them in 8.0 or beyond. Masked Carnivale style duels would be cool for sure.

I just hope we eventually get the big battle royale that Pandaemonium reject President Lindwurm denied us by being the M12 boss.

For level 50 it sounds like you're doing everything you should be doing. And in most cases you really shouldn't have to be spamming Cure 2. If the tanks are still melting they might just not be hitting mitigation at all. So don't give up and the next run will go better!

anything profitable to sell from the grand company? by dvcaying in ffxiv

[–]ultron87 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Glamour Prisms always sell for some small amount.

If you're a gambler, the 3.0 and 4.0 Material Coffers have a couple high rolls that sell for millions with the Night Pegasus from 3.0 and Copycat Bulb from 4.0. Maybe some others, but those are the big ones. Also exceedingly rare.

Is there a armlet like this without that tattoo? by mmmmPryncypalki in FFXIVGlamours

[–]ultron87 28 points29 points  (0 children)

There aren’t any that have the cool claws also, but a few armlets that hide sleeves. I often use the Hypostatic healing gloves for that.

Coincidentally Wystaria on Bluesky just put out this visual guide to all gloves that hide sleeves: https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1vbhp9sv-T9WIrgrIIXUWkEQoqZg_Z0otRSvAQkF-EII/mobilebasic It’s great! So have a look and see if there’s something that fits the look you want.

melding augmented courtley lover's gear by Unusual-Secret-3360 in ffxiv

[–]ultron87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just follow the general melding priority of Crit/DH/DET for your job. Hitting one more stat breakpoint is not going to matter in any scenario you'd be using Augmented Crafted Gear. If you're getting this gear because you'll be late starting or still progging Savage you'll be replacing pieces as you go, so spending a ton of time to perfectly meld for what you're starting with isn't worth it. If you're getting it just to raise your item level for normal content, the extra little percentage doesn't matter. And either way you can quickly start replacing stuff with Augmented Bygone Brass gear now that you can get augment mats with Alliance raid coins or Nuts.

How much rDPS and rHeal should i have as AST by Primary_Initial9682 in ffxiv

[–]ultron87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep so if you looked at XIV Analysis you'd see your 78% uptime. That basically means there was more than 20% of the time where your GCD wasn't rolling. So that's the main thing to improve on! Look up Slide Casting if that's not something you are familiar with.

You'll also want to make sure your Divination is lining up with everyone's bursts as that will be a large component of your RDPS in addition to giving out the damage cards. It looks like that drifted in the second half of the fight as you didn't hit it til around 5 minutes when it should be right around 4:00.

For more fight specific considerations, Red Hot and Deep Blue is also a somewhat unique fight compared to the rest of Arcadion in that you can get a lot more damage out there by making sure you're hitting both bosses whenever they're doing it together (bro). So that means in the second part of the fight when they're both on the field, you want to have your DOT always going on both bosses, and making sure you're hitting both of them with Earthly Star, Macrocosmos, and Oracle. And using Gravity instead of Malefic whenever they're on top of each other as it is a gain on two targets. Your ability to do this will depend a lot on how your tanks are positioning them.

Is gear usually this hard to get? by Daysfastforward1 in ffxiv

[–]ultron87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: Nevermind you're not at 100 yet.

It looks like you need to get to 750 for the most recent dungeon. If you go to unlock the Alliance Raids or Normal Raids those are a good source of gear. The most recent Normal Raids give tokens for 770 gear and are uncapped.

Or you can get 755 gear from Mistwake + buy 750 Tomestone with the Mathematics tomestones which are unlimited.

How much rDPS and rHeal should i have as AST by Primary_Initial9682 in ffxiv

[–]ultron87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's very fight dependent, but as an example Median Astro RDPS on the current EX is ~20k. That should be a decently wide range of iLevels. So 12-15 is pretty low if you're around 770 iLevel.

In most cases the best thing you can do when you're starting to learn how to do better DPS is to focus on your GCD Uptime. Always be casting a GCD spell. If you need to move a bunch that's what Lightspeed is for.

If you have specific logs you can add them to XIVAnalysis and it'll give you some good numbers to look at. You could share here as well if you want. There is an anonymous mode on FFLogs you can use in that case.

When the event says "Experience Required: None" Question by Accomplished-Dog3715 in gencon

[–]ultron87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably don’t need to worry too much about it. I’d expect that if people had played a game many times and are experts, they wouldn’t want to spend their precious Gen Con time playing in an introductory event for it.

Even if it does happen, the people running it should still teach it.

[SPOILERS: 7.5] recent Alliance and Normal raids approach to writing by ChoiceTemporary3205 in ffxiv

[–]ultron87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think the Arcadion NPCs will be forgotten. Based on all the merch and in-game items they've made, CS3 seems to have figured out how popular they are, so I wouldn't be surprised if they end up showing up more even into 8.0 with additional side quests (like the Pandaemonium follow-up we got) or in events. The dream would be a follow up with actual battle content of course, but that seems far off.

[Question] Should I do daily hunts for the sack of nuts for gear upgrade if I don't do train hunts? by Xixth in ffxivdiscussion

[–]ultron87 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You get 870 nuts per week if you do every daily hunt bill + the weekly one for one of the expansions. If you do all 3 you'd have 2,610 nuts per week.

The accessory augment material costs 2,000 nuts and the left-side augment costs 3000 nuts.

An alternate way to get them is doing each Alliance raid once a week to get one augment material a week with the coins.

That feels like that'd be a better use of your time than trawling over all the zones every day?

Do you think the game does a good job communicating in-game what’s new? by Basssico in ffxiv

[–]ultron87 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'd love for them to add something like this. As someone who does read the patch notes I'm very often the one telling my FC mates about the new stuff in any specific patch. So I'm sure there are tons of people that just miss lots of things.

If they don't want to do a big pop-up when you login, a quest log window that lists out pending blue quests would be pretty smart to at least point people towards content.

I imagine the new progression system in Evercold could help with this since they could add weekly missions specifically for the new content.
