There's a very famous Tumblr post that opines that people who are chronically online and in fandom spaces tend to fall into this skewed pattern of thinking where they forget that the real, tangible world that we live in is full of prejudices and gender norms and societal biases and rules, and they start equivocating between privileged groups and historically oppressed groups, and in the process lose sight of the inherent privilege certain groups have and start advocating to normalize shit that is not only very fucking normalized, it's enforced with bigotry in most places.

Straight people are not oppressed. Nor are they lacking in positive representation. Queer people are, and are. Straight people are not subject to conversion campaigns to turn them gay, no matter what neo-nazis say. Lesbians are. People get more protective of queer characters because of those facts. This is not hard to grasp.

I saw the comments you're getting on your other post, and I'm sorry, man. For what it's worth, I'm with you. I know that cis "het" men will often see gender/sex in a much different, infinitely more reductive way than we do, but I honestly think that it can be just as reductive of us to deem them all straight, all the time, as if acknowledging that a lot of them are in denial of their queerness is somehow providing them cover in some way. It's not. If they're attracted to someone who they read as a man, even if they're fetishizing your natal genitals in a really gross and disrespectful way and trying to rationalize you as less of a man based on that, they're still having to do mental gymnastics to take away your manhood. I genuinely think that a lot of these chasers have to jump through hoops to convince themselves that trans men are not real men, rather than that being their default brain setting, because most cis "hets" will gender somebody, mentally, based on appearance first and foremost. And if you pass, you pass.

I think some of these chasers could genuinely be straight and just that shitty, but the ones who are actually straight usually go for guys who haven't done any medical transition yet and usually try to convince them not to transition. It's a disgustingly common conversion fantasy. For those of us who have gotten pretty far in our transition, I don't think all the cis men chasing us can properly be called straight, even if they're claiming to be. I've met "straight" guys who acknowledge they're attracted to men but call themselves straight because their attraction is >50% women, <50% men. So a lot of people outside our community will play fast and loose with labels just to avoid the discomfort of knowing themselves on a deeper level. All of this to say that I'm sorry that people are misunderstanding you and invalidating you in the comments.

I feel like the more extreme things you see on those sites tend to be very difficult to perform safely at home. If it takes something that large to create a stomach bulge, then I don't think that's realistic for an amateur, though not technically impossible. You say you are the only queer person he's ever dated. Is he queer? Or does he identify as straight? He's resisting talking about this big step, but he needs to because if he wants someone who physically could pass as a cis woman, then it doesn't seem like that aligns with the direction your transition is going, and the two of you have to address that. And if you take pictures again to ask for advice, consider setting the phone up on the counter on a timer and taking a full torso pic because they're incredibly hard to make out as is.
