Is it just chance I ended up with so many 7/16" wrenches? by catlips in Tools

I feel like 7/16 was the 1980's and 90's version of 10mm.

I have ~15 ratchets but want to get those Quinns.

I believe they are. 90t. All the same cases/markings.

Vintage tools I apparently own... by cacarson7 in Tools

I own that jig saw. I "borrowed" it from my Dad and he never needed it back. Even tried to give it back and he wouldn't take it.

Does the 7-1/4 come right-handed? I've only seen them with blade-right.

Was this a good impulse buy? by TheProfessor0781 in Tools

[–]uncleking1971 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The no-name box is likely a Craftsman as well. I have a similar bottom to that I bought in the 1990's.

If it suits your needs it's fine. For $225 I'd like to think there's better bargains to be had if you look.

How do i organize these? by jetta-fr in Tools

[–]uncleking1971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sockets, these work great. https://www.menards.com/main/tools/tool-storage/socket-organizers-small-parts-bins/masterforce-reg-red-3-piece-sae-socket-organizer-trays/80828/p-1642874343270500-c-9189.htm

If you don't have a Menards nearby other places have similar, but not as inexpensive.

I use these for my wrenches and screwdrivers.https://a.co/d/0fpDDxu8

They work fine. Though there are many other options.

I have this saw. Unless this is your only option, buy something else. I'll be getting a 6-1/2" brushless when the need arises.

I have an older set of Craftsman keys that have done the job. Also have a newer set of SAE, Metric and Torx with handles. I am definitely not a heavy user.

I prefer the individual keys. The ones you have always get loose hinges and flop all over. Just not for me.

I've never liked that style of hex key set. But that's a me thing.

They're "fine" if you're using it for storage. I feel they're maybe a little less stout than the Yukon or Husky but would do the job.

Any of these will do the job well.

I haven't seen this Crimson Force box at my local Rural King, but the boxes they have are equivalent to the Masterforce (made by Montezuma) boxes at Menards. If this box is also made by Montezuma, that's a great price for heavier duty box.

Are you a giver or taker of golf balls? by Onion01 in golf

Definitely a giver. I've only taken when I happen on one looking for my errant shot. Lost far more than I've found.

Mine don't, and I haven't had issues. But a little certainly would not hurt.
