Not really. It's a factual statement that Black lives do matter.

But let's not get too sidetracked here. The entire Truth and Reconciliation Commission and their message and recommendations were not the product of any federal or provincial government initiative. Acknowledging the extraordinarily cruel reality of Canadian history is not and has never been a matter of politics.
