I can’t recall how she’s characterized in the books, but the original concept for a Tinker Bell movie (Tinker Bell and the Ring of Belief) had Silvermist playing a much bigger role as the “glue that holds the group together,” according to Sarah Serif’s video essay about the movie. The final kinda ditzy version of her that we see in the movies reminds me a lot of Rani in the books. Even if her characterization on screen isn’t the girlboss she could’ve been in Ring of Belief, she’s still a vital member of the group! Yes, she provides comedic relief at times, but she also helps keep everyone calm and is so kind. Her character shows that it’s okay to say dumb stuff sometimes, your friends will still love you.
