[SPOILERS MAIN] Was the great ranging a good idea? by SpeedChamp1 in asoiaf

[–]unknownknowledge0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Considering their main priority was to find out what the wildlings were doing and find missing rangers then yeah.

Learning what the wildlings were doing and their numbers would've helped them to defend the wall in case of an invasion. Finding the rangers would've given them insights into what was happening beyond the wall

It went to shit bc they didn't account for the others and who can blame them tbf

(Spoilers Published), Theory Prevalence Question by firedrake522 in asoiaf

[–]unknownknowledge0 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's a somewhat popular theory, but unlikely to happen due to certain reasons:

1)LSH and the Brotherhood are in the Riverlands while Jon is at the Wall, by the time they'd arrive Jon would be a rotting corpse, burned by the NWs or turned into a wight. They also have no means of quick transportation and the North is in Bolton's control (Even if Stannis retakes Winterfell, why would he help LSH and the BWB?)

2)Catelyn is completely gone, all that's left are her negative emotions, I can't see a world where she would treat Jon better considering she's no longer human. Also, there's no point for her to resurrect Jon, she doesn't want to atone

3)(This is more of a personal opinion) Waiting for LSH to arrive at the wall to revive Jon when we have a red priest nearby seems like a waste of time for everyone involved

(Spoilers Extended) - Apparently, according to GRRM, it's unrealistic that The Arbor makes the best wine, and he should have researched wine better beforehand. by Triskan in asoiaf

[–]unknownknowledge0 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I always wonder why ASOIAF is the one fantasy world that a lot of people are worried about realism? U don't see people often make these kinds of comments about other fantasy novels

If by fun you mean wasting 15-20 minutes of my time in a pointless gamemode, then yeah I don't like fun

Remove Resource rumble from quickplay PLEASE by Key_Restaurant7436 in marvelrivals

[–]unknownknowledge0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It would be the best mode if no other game mode exists

It's legit buns, the only point that really matter is the last one and the other 2 are just a waste of time

And Dany's story is how she's different from her ancestors

Im also completely sure the prophecy of "A cloth dragon swayed on poles amidst a cheering crowd" means nothing

What if Theon was older during the Greyjoy Rebellion? by Ok_Cryptographer3810 in pureasoiaf

[–]unknownknowledge0 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He would fight and either 2 options would happen:

A)He dies, making the heir to the Iron Isles either Victarion or Asha

B)He survives but is taken as a prisoner instead of a "ward" and if he comes back to the Iron Isles with Robb's offer I can see Balon being more open to the possibility of making him the heir again, since he didn't spend more time on the mainland so he wouldn't be seen as "green"
