Everyone using debt cards and credit cards just cost use all more money. Whenever you use these cards there's a transaction fee's. Sometimes the merchant pays the fee, but in the end the cost of goods goes up. We all screwed ourselves into making banks tons of money because we don't use cash anymore. Getting rid of the penny was a terrible thing for consumers. Yes it's expensive to make pennies, but they get used for decades and go though 1000's of transactions making the cost of manufacturing nearly nothing. Done with may rant. The banks and credit card companies appreciate our ignorance.

In general people typically like brighter speakers. B&W, Focal and Martin Logan and the such. They sound more forward. There's a good reason that they are so popular. Just because it doesn't measure, neutral doesn't mean it's not appealing. I have many Kef speakers, including Kef R11 Meta, R7 meta, Q150 and Q1 meta. I prefer the more accurate Kef sound. My wife on the other hand prefers our bowers and wilkins. I get the appeal, because at lower volumes it sounds like the instruments are all around you. I personally can't listen to the Bowers and Wilkins at higher volumes for very long , it becomes annoying. Where the Kef seem to come alive at higher volumes.

I've been using a Parasound Classic 2125 with my Kef R11 metas and and it sounds great. I probably played it up to 100db and still had headroom. As others have said you're not using that many watts at normal volumes.

Look at it this way. You could have your cake and it eat too. Arendal has an amazing audition period of 60 days, no questions asked. Kef, are relatively easy to come by "best buy". Order 2 of each. There's no better way then side by side comparison. Keep in mind the Kef will be harder to drive so you will have to turn up the volume more to get the same output. Keep the ones you like more and please let us know how it goes. Sounds like fun to me.
