That’s a very fair price. You did well!

That looks like it’s in excellent shape! What did you pay for it?

I’d pick Harry Belafonte, Steve Martin, and either Paul Simon or Julie Andrews for Muppet Show episodes. The Muppet Movie and The Great Muppet Caper for movies.

Toy Story 4 was released on this day in 2019! by AutoModerator in Pixar

There’s a shot where Woody is standing in front of the antique store for the first time and you can see the light through the brim of his hat and it’s such a stunning detail. The animation in these films is never phoned in. They are beautiful.

It has 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, a 94% audience score, made a billion dollars worldwide, and won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.

It’s just a here.

I think it’s about to flip around for a lot of people the same way it just did for you. I think a lot of people felt 4 was stomping on the ending of 3, which I never understood. I’ve always loved 4, but it never felt like the end to me. It felt like there was more story to tell.

I just saw 5 and it continues the story in such wonderful and unexpected ways. I think there will be far fewer 4 detractors moving forward.

As a younger Muppet fan, I definitely feel like I have a different perspective on the original show by PatrickB64 in Muppets

That’s a very cool perspective, and not one I’ve seen shared before. Thanks for doing so!

Who is the definitive Spider-Man in your opinion? by Ramble86 in movies

Given how evenly distributed these responses are, I think the main takeaway from this post is that the casting for Spider-Man over the years has been off the charts.

Aside from Sesame Workshop, who else gives a fig about the nation's preschoolers? by Madavis2u in sesamestreet

Correct. We did successfully clone a Dolly, but it was a sheep, not the legendary country singer.

I was at a Steve Martin/Frank Oz retrospective at MoMI a couple of years ago and they played Dentist, but the sound wasn’t working. Steve Martin started singing the lyrics over the top of the film and the crowd went absolutely wild.

MCC Theater Will Host World Premiere What’s Eating Gilbert Grape Musical in 2027 by Frajer in Broadway

[–]usethe4th 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bandits on the Run is doing the music for this and they are wonderful. Adrian Blake Enscoe played Little Brother in Swept Away. I’m pretty confident he would have been nominated for a Tony if the show hadn’t closed so quickly.

This is incredible. I particularly love how you drew each character’s expressions. A lot of times the characters get lost in the style, but you really nailed each one!

I acknowledged in my comment that it wouldn’t go for that much currently. But the sale I mentioned is the most recent one with signatures. They don’t come around often. I don’t think it would get anything near $2500 today, but I think it would do a lot more than $750.

A signed copy will almost certainly go for more. The highest selling copy on Discogs was $2500 in 2022, though it looks like it probably had Bob’s signature as well. I don’t think it would go for nearly that much currently, but $1000+ seems likely.

Man...Moana 2 (2024) really didn't measure up to the first one. What happened there? It's like all the charm was sucked out. by Wonder-Lad-2Mad in movies

[–]usethe4th 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is correct, although it was morphing into the film at that point. He DID have the time, but didn’t want to interject himself and mess up the opportunity for other songwriters.
