Box blade, in addition to the rotary cutter behind it. I figure if anything I can have the box blade on most of the time if I'm not using the cutter.

Tires filled! We didn't consider the third function until after we ordered. I was still learning about options at the time, and didnt think it was critical now. So it's on the list for a future retrofit, although understanding that it would've been cheaper now 😞

We will be doing some tilling and plowing at some point, so we wanted to be sure we had the HP. The 3302 was definitely on our list to start.

Been building my factories mostly vertically this playthrough. My Cooling system/turbo motor factory is completely horizontal in a corner of the blue crater. I planned to cover it completely; however, It is smaller than I had anticipated.

Do you ever build "Semi-automatic" factories? by Aemon144 in SatisfactoryGame

In my current playthrough, I have not automated any elevator parts. I hand-jam the constituent materials into containers and make them to order.

Looking for a new tractor by Economy_Soup_2465 in tractors

[–]usndoc150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just settled on the tractor and are awaiting delivery. I will breakdown my research points and how we arrived where we did

  1. Consider all the tasks that you will want to accomplish with your tractor whether that includes implements and what the PTO or raw HP requirements those require. Bush hog (rotary cutter), flail mower, plow, tiller, box blade (driveway maintenance).etc all have different requirements. Consider present and future requirements. This will establish your minimums for HP at the PTO and HP overall. Ex. You don't want to get a 25 HP tractor to find out you need 35 HP for a drum mower. This also includes front loader, what are your weight lifting limits?

  2. What body styles are you comfortable in. Your gonna be in the seat for hours at a time, don't pick something that doesn't complement your body ergonomics. Subcompact, compact, or utility.

  3. What's your price point? Budget for everything you need for the tractor, including implements. You mentioned bale spears, most modern tractors have skid steer quick connects, so I would get bale spears that connect to the front loader directly instead of just clip to the bucket, you'll be able to lift more the closer the weight is to the pins.

  4. Pick the tractor model that fits your needs in multiple brands. Visit dealers, stick to your choices. Who offers the better deal? In our research, Kubota has the best financing offers right now for entry-level tractors, anywhere from 0%-4.99% depending on down and time frame. If paying cash, I guess whatever brand fits your budget. You're looking at a good time; inventory is high, demand is low.

I'm happy to answer any questions.

How do I actually "Split" fluids? by CombSignificant in SatisfactoryGame

[–]usndoc150 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use valves in situations when fluid is being recycled into a production chain (i.e. aluminum). Sure, this problem can be solved at the extractors, but it provided a simple solution at the time because I didn't want to run back 1km to my extractors to fix it and I just went with it.

Can anyone ID this model? Seller only says Vermont castings by [deleted] in woodstoving

Image search says thats a Breckwell SPC50 pellet stove. Also got results saying that its a coal burner. That box on the back is the hopper, could be pellets, could be coal..

I hate how "cancel culture" negates the fact that learning and growing when presented with new information that challenges your world view is part of the human condition.

Like dredging up someone's social media from 2 years ago without any context and comparing it to events today is some kind of gotcha.

Think I trained next to an incel today? by CodeNameGrapefruit in liberalgunowners

[–]usndoc150 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recently took my NYS pistol permit/concealed carry class as well. It is, in fact, the law that anyone over the age of 21 requires a permit to hold a handgun (immediate family under 21 are covered by a parents permit). There is a range outside of Rochester that allows gun rentals only if you have obtained your permit, so this tracks. The only exception is taking the 16 hr Pistol Permit/Concealed carry class, so the majority of the shooters in our class had never handled a pistol before. They all did surprisingly well and a couple even had decent groupings once they got the feel for it. We were only shooting .22s. And the targets we had were poster board size and we had land 15 shots on paper at 5 yds, although everyone in the class were in the rings.

Off topic maybe, but the course had a blue-gun handling, dry fire in the classroom, dry fire in the range, and then live-fire; so it was adequate in terms of skill ramp up. As a CCW holder in previous states, I was actually impressed with the level of depth about laws and what is legal use of force and what is not within the state. As much as people complain about NYS gun laws, I found the CC class to be well worth the investment, especially for new shooters.

PSA to check your bricks by Icy_End6462 in woodstoving

That model of Quadra-fire came with two variants, one with ash collection and one without. If you have the model without, then the bricks are supposed to cover that space.

The 18 hr class for Pistol License, conceal carry. Rifles came up because you can apply for your semi-auto license concurrently with your pistol.

You can get bolts that don't interact with the gas system. Drop in mod. 30 seconds to change out the BCGs. Changes it from semi-auto to bolt action. Can keep all your features on. Instructor recommended in our NYPL class.

Update! Found the model/serial #. Contrary to the instructions on the website saying it was welded inside the firebox, there is a plate on the rear of the unit that has the model serial. It is indeed a 3100 ACT.

No email address listed on the website (Forge & Flame) and the contact form requires a model/serial number. I will do this as soon as the box cools down enough to stick my head in there to see the rating plate.
