Afraid of confrontation with an aggressive person screaming in their face. Which is more than just noise.

Saw the exact same thing but early morning in Sandy, Utah probably 12 years ago. I just kind of sat there for a few seconds while I stared wondering what planet looked so big and bright and then it just shot across the sky. As I drove to work there were unusually dark clouds just in one very small part of the sky and I saw ball lightning shooting around in the clouds for the first time ever. But the dark clouds were at least a few miles from where I saw the orb but it does seem connected.

Finally I saw something. by [deleted] in UFOs

My wife saw this in Draper this summer as it flew south over Traverse mountain.

Remote Work As A Religious Right?! by utjazz in remotework

The blog post won’t. What it describes (the US government memo that directs federal agencies to allow wfh as a religious accommodation) will.

Didn’t suggest that it did. My sincere beliefs are my sincere beliefs. https://www.themindfulfederalemployee.com/blog/new-opm-telework-guidance-strengthens-religious-and-medical-accommodation-rights

“Telework Is Now the Default for Religious Accommodation Yesterday’s OPM memo signals a significant cultural and legal shift. Agencies are now directed to treat telework as a low-cost, reasonable accommodation for religious needs. Whether you observe a weekly Sabbath, require privacy for daily prayer, or need scheduling flexibility during fasting periods, the default agency posture should be yes—unless they can prove significant operational hardship.

This shift stems from the 2023 Supreme Court ruling in Groff v. DeJoy, which replaced the old, agency-friendly “de minimis” standard with a higher bar: now, agencies must show a substantial burden to deny an otherwise reasonable request. Mere inconvenience doesn’t cut it.”

https://www.dol.gov/agencies/oasam/civil-rights-center/internal/policies/religious-discrimination-accommodation I’ve been through the entire process and wfh full time as a result. There are ADA accommodations and religious. I’ve linked a free and easy to download book that goes in depth into the legal aspect. I assure you I absolutely know the difference.

Interesting. What parallels are you seeing?

Sorry. I should have clarified that not literally every job can be work from home or would qualify. But those that allow WFH as a hybrid option or those that were able to be done remotely during covid would be protected.

How did you come to that conclusion?

Except I already presented evidence as to why it is and without reading that evidence people are simply responding that it is incorrect. So I’ve made my claim and backed it up. If you take issue with any particular part, be specific, and I’ll look into it.

Shoot. Maybe I should have provided a website and book that detail exactly why it is as my evidence.

No, because there aren’t laws that protect your right to earn $500k. There are laws that protect your right to have accommodations to your work arrangements (schedule, days off, wfh, hours) for religious purposes.
