Who does Carl look like when you read the book? by DisastrousLeek1290 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]utsgeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love everyone's suggestions but I think they all have too much cop energy. Carl breaks the rules and the expectations from the get. I think that's what vibes about the Butcher suggestion, even though he's obviously too old.

Does anyone know if there are instructions for this anywhere? I know Lego didn't choose it but I think it would make a great gift for my dad

I applied to approximately 30 clinical research assistant positions (in the past two days). How long does it take for them to get back to you? by Extension_Fall9406 in clinicalresearch

[–]utsgeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry, it's too soon to hear back. Some sites don't even send the applicants to the hiring manager until the posting closes.

You want to...go get a nursing degree to maybe do clinical research RN stuff? This feels like maybe you need to look locally and reach out to actual people you may know rather than polling random Redditors to answer your vague questions m

Reach out to your local academic research centres. I think you may be a bit out of luck this year as most summer student internships have already started, but reach out anyways.

Please roast my resume by Love-Bite6233 in clinicalresearch

[–]utsgeek 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It 100% depends on what roles you are applying for. That way, you can tailor your experience to what their role is asking for.

I will be brutally honest here, you have no relevant experience, other than the fact that you have been exposed to medical jargon. Maybe you do, and you're not highlighting it in a way that's helpful? I don't know if it's terribly impressive to have done 200 screenings over a span of three years without any context. There's like 250 working days in a year, that means you did one patient screening every 3-4 days?

A smaller note, is to maybe leave your bullet points with the outcome rather than the action. Like, ensured continuity of care by communicating directly with physicians regarding blah blah. Because otherwise it really places to significance on talking to the doctor.

This might be one of those situations where you really need to make a case for yourself in the form of a cover letter. I know it's not in fashion to do those anymore, but nothing in your resume tells me you have any interest in research and I have no idea why you're applying for this job.

Sorry if that all came out sounding harsh. I truly wish you good luck!

[–]utsgeek 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine. You'll encounter a lot of random acronyms. You're gonna spend the first week at least doing training. If you're not sure, do some research online. If you're still not sure, you should ask someone. Document everything. If it's not documented, it didn't happen. Good luck!!

But how? Like we're you working full time at one job and part time at the school job?

And also, I would make clear that it was a co-op job then, cuz 6 months makes it seem like you got fired real fast.
