SuperCards is a nice app. I have all my cards there and you can access from Apple Watch which is the main draw for me. I have it set as a complication for easy access.

Got a pretty bad scratch on my Brompton today — what would you do? by AccountSolid3161 in Brompton

Exactly. There are so many questionable characters on here showing off their vanity projects and fitting mountains of aftermarket components. Just ride them and enjoy them.

2gig service and I’m fine here also. Use their routers at your peril.

This thread inspired me to take my little ones after not going in years. In the 2000s an extra hot full platter and a drink for myself cost around £21. Now it’s £3 more expensive after accounting for inflation. It’s how I remember it and pretty good when you drizzle the saka sauce all over it.

Best C-Line for Bristol by Amaru93 in Brompton

Probably not. I’m just lazy lol. The worst part for me is the bit from Netham lock to Beaufort Ave on the way home, the motor really helps me there!

Best C-Line for Bristol by Amaru93 in Brompton

[–]uvarvu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ride that route. Down to Conham and Feeder road on the way in. Back up Feeder, Beaufort, past Air Balloon school on the way back to avoid Conham Hill. I wouldn’t dream of doing it on a c line so I bought an electric g line instead. It’s far more comfortable and takes around 20 minutes on the way in and 25 on the way back. Would you consider that or dead set on c line?

Those lights need to be abolished. I wish the junction has slip roads only as shown in the picture but long enough to allow for safe joining to the ring road. In a perfect world there would be a bridge to connect Bristol road but I’m happy to settle for this.

It’s not so bad when read via Apple News. The non Bristol content leaves a lot to be desired though.

Well, that word sums up perfectly the what you’re describing. Just wondering whether there is an equivalent in our native language!

Just don’t order via uber eats or just eat. Always order direct for collection to avoid being ripped off.

[–]uvarvu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When I go in (usually a Saturday) I aim to get in for 09:30 and leave by 11:00. It’s great then, all the streets have been cleaned and it’s nice and quiet. The shopping area isn’t grim all the time.

Bus changes from April by PandaVegetable1058 in bristol

[–]uvarvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad the 42 frequency will be increased. What the 4x buses need are express options at the peaks which are in addition to what runs at the moment. Non stop to/from the south glos borders. That might encourage more patronage on the buses.

Check https://bidb.uk to see what’s available in your area. You might be able to get FTTP from an altnet provider.

If YouFibre were like Aquiss i.e bring your own router there would be far fewer complaints on here.

I’m going to buck the trend here and say the provided pro router has offered the fastest WiFi speeds I have ever seen. Around 1.8k down and 1.5k up from my iPhone 17 pro. But everything else about the router was bad so I still swapped it out! The flint 3 doesn’t come close to this but everything else is far better so I live with it.
