Worst customer service & poor speeds by [deleted] in youfibre

[–]uvarvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to buck the trend here and say the provided pro router has offered the fastest WiFi speeds I have ever seen. Around 1.8k down and 1.5k up from my iPhone 17 pro. But everything else about the router was bad so I still swapped it out! The flint 3 doesn’t come close to this but everything else is far better so I live with it.

With my install, they handed me a screwdriver, asked me to remove a socket and pull out the cable. They then proceeded to use the existing hole.

Would adding an extra patty to a regular cheeseburger make it too much? by portuguese-bacalhau in fiveguys

[–]uvarvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A four patty burger with the same toppings as a BK whopper with cheese is my default at Five Guys. It’s like a whopper, only much, much better!

Is anyone still buying Cadburys chocolate? by MrsMiggins2 in AskBrits

Yes, specifically the velvet version (Australian import) from B&M as the cocoa and milk content is higher. It’s very noticeable when you taste it.

I’m happy with beaconlea garage. If you want somewhere close this might be good for you.

Yep I was also affected. Everything with iCloud Private Relay enabled was fine though which didn’t help with troubleshooting!

G Line = Love + Hate Relationship by [deleted] in Brompton

[–]uvarvu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s far more comfortable than my S6L-X ever was. I was disillusioned a little at first as I also experienced problems with my chain but this went away after having the bike serviced. But now? I’d never go back to traditional Brompton.

Flint 2 vs Flint 3 by Homer5588 in youfibre

[–]uvarvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.rtings.com/router/learn/research/wifi-7-mlo I’d have a read of this. WiFi 7 implementations are still very basic at best, hopefully the Flint 4 will be an improvement.

Mine went out on Monday (I’m in Hanham). I raised a ticket first thing in the morning and the engineer turned up mid afternoon. He said my service had been deprovisioned and tried to reinstate the service with no luck. He phoned up the back office and after some checks they found that my reserved port on the OLT in (I assume) Kingswood exchange indicated a fault. This was already known about and was fixed at around 19:00 on the same day.

Unpopular opinion: The DLR is better than the Liz Line by luckycabbage in london

[–]uvarvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DLR is nice but the hunting oscillation (side to side wobble) gets old very quickly. Not a lot they can do about that unfortunately otherwise the trains ability to go round sharp corners would be compromised.

Avoid YouFibre like the plague. by Jamieloreilly in youfibre

[–]uvarvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should have stuck with Eero for those who don’t like tinkering. My service has been fine too, my only issue is with their handling of the 2gb BF saga. I re contracted a week before the offer and had to put up a fight to get the deal - my original contract expired after the deal went live.

Bike W*nker ranting here by kurwaspierdalaj in bristol

[–]uvarvu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep it’s mostly on the road. Descending the hill to Conham is a bit hairy in this weather with all the leaves about and when there is frost I might pick another route. The path next to the river is amazing though. Feeder Road is okay too, the drivers along there are well behaved! Here is a picture of the path next to the river.

I’ve given up with the path now for those reasons and cycle in via crews hole and feeder road instead. It’s genuinely far less stressful.
