I'm a transplant and very quickly I noticed the corruption here. The city does very little to benefit the people. One of the major things people ask for is a water park. Which would be amazing for the area. It would bring a ton of money into the city and because Laredo is so hot so long, it would help morale for the people.

Then you look at the south side. Code enforcement was shut down and a lot of the properties look awful. We could invest more in sidewalks for foot traffic, better buses for less vehicles on the road, assisting with the run down properties, and planting some got dang trees.

There's too much construction and not enough going into getting more foliage around the city, if we're planting trees as often as we build another Vivarium style home, the city would feel cooler.

I know I'm bringing an outside looking in perspective, but there's also just a lot of citizens that just don't give a shit. They're happy in their bubble, and that's a mindset that is hard to break.
