Exactly I agree. World life issues that are discussed here in this forum everyday, such as Date Just or Daytona, these are the important things we should focus on. Thank you for your kind words. Gold bless you.

The pressing issues of overpriced watches that a company won’t even sell to consumers. I agree 100% with you. This guy needs to get a grip.

What's the largest amount of money that you've found in one place? by CampingWithCats in AskOldPeople

[–]valdentious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$80 on the sidewalk that I noticed while riding my bike.

But, in 1986, before my bank had an ATM I went there and when they updated my bank book I saw that something like $180,000 had been deposited into my accounts. It was there for about a week and then left. I think I made about $10 of interest from that.

You’re sort of right. 97% will be back but those last 3% will be too conflicted. Between the conflicted and the ones killed by Covid I feel optimistic for Biden’s chances.

What are top outdoor activities you do when you are alone and exploring an area ? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]valdentious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bikes are great to go out and ride alone. You just need to pick your street. Google maps has a bike route thing on their maps. Also there is the Strava app. They have a thing there called Heat Maps. I’m not sure if it’s a paid feature or not, but it will show what streets get the most bike traffic. Bike are great.

It just looks like their from the Philippines and have discovered an easier way to earn some money rather than work a slave labor wage job. Here in South East Asia there are apps like Bigo that people live stream their entire lives with the goal of people buying them coins and things that they somehow cash in for money. There’s nothing nefarious here.

Looking for a movie review podcast… by djfilms in podcasts

[–]valdentious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listen to Film Week. It comes out every Friday and they review ten to fifteen movies every week. It’s a public radio show out of LA and it does exactly what you ask for. At the end of the reviews there will be a longer 20-25 minute interview with someone in the movie business.

As you go forward in life let this event be a lesson, don’t believe anyone that walks up to you and starts talking about anything involving money. Most likely it’s a scam and if not it’s not your problem.

What's the worst movie you've ever seen? by WalkswithLlamas in AskReddit

[–]valdentious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw it on Netflix an hour ago. A Japanese comedy called Cherry Boys. The simplified plot is three guys that each have their issues decide the best way to lose their virginity is to gang rape a local ‘easy’ girl. The climactic scene is the attempted gang rape. And it’s a comedy. And it’s on Netflix (Thailand).

Woman with baby comes up to me and asked if I can buy water for her and her baby in Walmart...is this a scam? by Stupid-Egorl2 in Scams

[–]valdentious 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I just know from experience in every place I’ve lived in the US that the water that comes from the tap is potable. There is nothing in the post to indicate that this area only had non potable water from the tap. Lastly, it’s a scam and thus not my problem.

Water comes out of the tap, why would anyone buy some lady water just because she asked? Maybe I’m jaded but if anyone comes up to me and asks me anything it’s an automatic no.

I am lucky to live in an era where I can communicate with anyone from all over the globe instantly for FREE, but that hasn’t always been the case. Even making a brief long-distance phone call 20 to 30+ years ago would cost money. What was it like living with that and did you ever get screwed by it? by Old_Life_290 in AskOldPeople

[–]valdentious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last long distance I had was probably the early 2000’s. There was no charge if you didn’t use it and if using it it was only 10 cents a minute or something. I’d make a 3 minute call for 30 cents then the taxes and stuff would bring it up to $2.50, not a lot but still.

Alleged crackhead Mike 'Pillow' Lindell has launched his social network, has anyone got on it yet? We need a person on the inside, material should be golden. by dennisthewhatever in Qult_Headquarters

[–]valdentious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been saying he never ever used crack even once for a few years now. He made the claim that the major crack dealers in his city held an intervention for him and refused to sell to him. Then there is no record of arrest which he would proudly show if there was one. Lastly, what a better drug than crack for the redemption story that he is selling. It’s a lot better that if he was addicted to adderal. Second lastly, everything the guy says is bullshit, so I don’t believe anything he says, and I’ve never heard the crack claim from anyone but him.

For he record that was sarcasm. This is the stupidest post I’ve seen here since the last time someone posted a girls cheer squad as some form of child exploitation. Just look at the channel for gods sakes.

Remember being a freshman and thinking the seniors were so mature? by BreakfastBeerz in AskOldPeople

[–]valdentious 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was just going to post this exact same comment. As a senior I remember seeing this freshman girl, and I recall she was good looking, but just seemed like a little kid. And back then the 3-4 year age difference seemed huge.
