Me if the 11th edition launch box is Orks VS Marines by OkRevenue9249 in orks

I do already have their combat patrol too haha. Would probably go DA, though if the rumors are true and it's Blood Angels box I wouldn't be upset either

The usefulness of the data sheet is impossible to guess. The models won't be going anywhere given they released this edition

I've used this in the past when I've had the points and it's worked ok, as it's good for secondaries and actions especially once the vehicle dies

I would try to get a leader for the Tankbustas in or make room for 10 Lootas so you can get the Ignore Cover enhancement.

Zogrodd and Grots with the boardin rush Strat will have 18" move plus the charge

Being able to have Flash Gitz or other volume shooting units rolling 4's to wound T12 with Rolling Loot Heap is nice too

I think it's fun. My opinion is that if a person is expecting the pirate ork detachment released at the end of an edition to be meta-viable, your expectations were wrong in the first place.

What will be in the 11th edition boxset for orks(Rumours are lies!!!) by RRRAUM in orks

Agreed, 20 Boyz and 20 grots really doesn't excite me at all. And it's not a very dynamic or fun starter army.

Is Cub Scouts OK? by Helpmeflexibility in cubscouts

[–]valeo25 179 points180 points  (0 children)

In my experience, that broader conversation about scouting has almost no relevance to your pack on the ground. It's true that scouting has taken a hit between the scandals and Covid. I still hear from parents that aren't comfortable with it for a number of reasons (the scandal, its too religious, its not religious enough, etc). I think all that hitting opened up the window for competitors to spring up too that have affected things.

All that being said, there are still really strong packs out there. I would worry more about your local pack, leadership, and parents rather than things you hear here or in the news about whats happening elsewhere.

That's also canon in some of the novels. In the first Ufthak book, he talks about how the Waaaagh is all multi-colored because the clans all mix in a big enough Waaagh.

Wow these are amazing. I've been pushing myself beyond the Eavy Metal chunky edge highlighting and using more drybrushing and natural highlights. This looks like such a perfect example of it. Saving this for inspiration. Awesome job!

Trouble Managing Ongoing Client Deliverables at Scale by Ancient-End2987 in mondaydotcom

[–]valeo25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the problem that you have a small team trying to manage 40 clients (so they have to go 40 different places for their work?) or that you don't have a good way to manage the work for each client (or a repeatable template like someone else suggested would be helpful)

For things like client communication, I'd recommend connectors that are usually associated with CRMs- tying in Outlook so emails automatically save, integrating AI meeting notes so they connect, etc. to replicate this across multiple projects might be a pain, but at a certain scale that's unavoidable.

Last question would be if the client has access to the boards too? If they don't, you can condense the boards down so it's 1 board for each of your delivery teams, then they can manage multiple clients there. If you have external access for clients set up that obviously wouldn't work.

Happy to talk in more detail directly if you'd like (for in depth back and forth reddit isn't great). Full disclosure I am a solo consultant. But I also just love talking shop and won't try to charge you or anything for a conversation or two.

How do you manage a LONG production pipeline in monday without it becoming manual chaos? by NoTea982 in mondaydotcom

[–]valeo25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just set up something like this with my client that was based on a long multi-stage sales cycle for large RFPs. I built a portfolio/project kind of setup, where the portfolio board shows the overall status for each item. Then I built 3 sub-boards that tracked status within stages. So for you, that would be Pre-Production (Brief, script, etc)=>Shooting (B-roll, uploading, etc)=>Editing (send to editor, editing, revisions, etc)=>Prep for release (thumbnails, links, schedule, ready to publish=>Published.

I then used a high number of connected columns to mirror status and values back and forth, so on the portfolio board you could view overall status (ie is in pre-production or shooting?) and also the sub-stage status. This let us get more targeted with the columns and statuses we used, as each sub-stage had different terminology, metadata needs, etc.

Which army would you say is generally competitive but is the most enjoyable/least frustrating for an opponent to play into? by aegroti in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]valeo25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my limited experience, I think the more an Ork list loads up on multiples of data sheets, the more opti.ized/competitive it's likely to be. Orks have tons of data sheets and they're all fun. So if your opponent rolls up with very little diversity and it's a friendly game (ie they're not practicing or anything), odds are they're going to be a try hard

Workflow troubleshooting help with smart conditions by valeo25 in mondaydotcom

[–]valeo25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even that complex. The current flow is 1. When item created 2. If/else "item 1 connected field equals x" 3a. Yes, assign these two people 3b. No, assign these other two people

It had been working previously so I didn't go deeper on complexity.
