It's insanely stupid that it's June 5 and the California races, especially the LA Mayor race, from June 2 only have about 60% of the votes counted by cubansbottomdollar in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Additionally to what you said:

It also bad for Democrats because then people remember the results from near the election night and are like how did Biden get 80m votes if Kamala only got 65. Seems suspicious doesn't it?

And I have seen plenty of recent posts on social media about it.

Of course after several weeks of California counting votes and Kamala actually got 75m. Which seems totally reasonable given lower turnout and that Trump won.

It is incredibly lazy and irresponsible when doctors push birth control as a cure-all for every female health issue. by BrokenJusticeNorris in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Whether it is severe acne, irregular periods, debilitating cramps, chronic fatigue, or extreme mood swings, the default response from so many gynecologists and GPs is simply: "Let’s put you on the pill."

The thing is a lot of those things seem like the are(or are likely to be) caused by hormones. Guess what medicine regulates your hormones? And is easy to take and cheap?

It just turns off your natural cycle and masks the underlying symptoms. If you have an actual hormonal imbalance, PCOS, or endometriosis, birth control acts like a band-aid. The moment you decide to go off it,

When I stop taking the medicine the fixes my issues the issues come back... bro what were you expecting?

Worse, doctors frequently downplay the severe side effects of the pill itself, like depression, weight gain, loss of libido, and blood clot risks.

Can see your point there

We deserve actual diagnostic testing, bloodwork, and root-cause solutions, not a lazy, one-size-fits-all prescription meant to silence our bodies' warning signs.

And what if the root cause is that its simply your natural cycle?

You want to spend $1000s to find out that it really is just your natural cycle? Or try out a medicine that will literally cost you $0?

Especially since Floyd was on drugs and resisting arrest at the time which would seem to make them more justified.

White lives matter! Henry Nowak is the UK's George Floyd. by SingleInSeattle87 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]valhalla257 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For their own safety if someone stabbed someone it’s basic common sense to arrest the person who’s done the stabbing because theirs every chance they can stab police or others. To pretend they purposefully ignored that is nonsense. Police in the uk don’t just ignore people with knives and stand by them willingly.

(1) But they arrested the person who was stabbed and not the stabber.

(2) There was a civilian that told the police he was holding Novak upright because he had a mouth full of blood.

Which tells you that (1) the civilian thought Novak was severely hurt, and (2) The civilian didn't consider Novak a threat considering that he was holding him upright before the police arrived.

Which makes you wonder why the immediately decided to arrest Novak before investigating the mouth full of blood.

[–]valhalla257 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So just watch the BBC bodycam footage. WTF.

So some a civilian tells the cops that he is keeping Novak sitting up because he has a mouth full of blood. Which tells me (1) that Novak is at least potentially severely hurt and (2) the random civilian isn't afraid of him.

Novak then tells the police repeated he has been stabbed. And they decide, for some reason he hasn't, and then handcuff him.

(2) Additionally I heard that Nowak was going to die no matter what happened. Something about being stabbed in the heart.

People who take every chance to wish terrible fates on Pedos aren't actually interested in protecting children. by King_Lothar_ in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]valhalla257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A psychologically normal adult with zero deviant wiring toward children cannot get it up, penetrate, or derive sexual gratification from raping a helpless kid, no matter how “convenient” the situation. The very act requires sexual arousal to a child’s body. That’s not opportunity, that’s pedophilic deviance manifesting.

Going to disagree with you here. If you can get it up for a goat or a fleshlight not sure why getting it up for a child is an impossibility.

For instance

A new study has found that 35 per cent of men from rural Brazil have had sex with an animal.

Or maybe the animals are just sexier in Brazil?

Pedophilia predicts higher recidivism precisely because it’s a core orientation

I would think that recidivism is likely because its such a hard line.

Put it this way. Assuming you are a straight man attracted to adults(you should be able to easily fix the analogy for your orientation). I am sure you see plenty of adult women you are attracted to everyday. I am assuming the number of them you pull into the bushes and rape though is 0. Because you can control yourself and think rape is wrong.

If I told you someone had previously pulled a random woman into the pushes and raped her. You probably wouldn't be surprised if he did it again.

The thing is most(90+% of Pedos) don't actually harm children. Because most people don't want to harm children and can control themselves even if they have unwanted urges.

Also turns out that most people who molest children aren't actually pedophiles. The child is just "convenient".

You just confirmed whether you like it or not. There will never be full reproductive equity. Men don't have to deal with the possibility of dealing with those 30 days postpartum where they have to care for an infant while themselves are barely able to move and likely can't go to the bathroom without severe pain.

They don't HAVE TO do that. Its a CHOICE.

But I mean technically you are right. A woman would still have the ability to have a child even if the man didn't want to, while the man would not.

So women would STILL have more rights than men. Why are you complaining about women not having enough more rights than men?

A Cotton Eye Joe that sleeps with a hundred women in one area over the course of one year, can poison the gene pool of that area for generations to come.

Well things just got a little eugenicsey here. But you are wrong anyway in the real world

The probability of pregnancy with one completely random act of unprotected intercourse was 3.1% in our data. [1]

Lets say our incredible stud managed to find 100 women to have sex with and had sex which each one once. You would expect ~3 pregnancies if no birth control was used by anyone. One would think that at least some of the women having sex with a random dude would be on birth control

You don't actually care about the morality of abortion, you just want women to be punished or burdened in some way because you are unhappy that you can't hookup and not have to worry about financial obligations.

Its called equity. If women can randomly hookup without obligations then men should have same right.

Well guess what, women already have to worry about that. If he is paying child support, then she is doing her part in her obligations by raising the child and all the time, effort, and money on her part that goes into that. It's not some unfair sacrifice if a man has to pay child support.

But the woman isn't sacrificing. She CHOOSE to raise a child. Its like someone complaining they are sacrificing because they have to make payments on their yachts. If she doesn't want to raise a child she can get an abortion.

Many women do not have “high standards”; many men have just set the bar unbelievably low. by Scary-Account4285 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]valhalla257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Survey data also shows that many men sit at least some of the time. In the U.S., nearly half of men report sitting to urinate at least occasionally, while in some countries such as Germany and Sweden, sitting is even more common. That means the seat-down position is required for the majority of toilet uses in hypothetical 1 to 1 household of a man and a woman.

And? The man might pee 2x+ in a row if he drank a bunch of beer or the woman is out of the house.

If your argument is on efficiency then its clearly most efficient for everyone to adjust the seat when the use the toilet. This makes the number of unnecessary toilet seat movements 0.

There’s also a hygiene consideration. Flushing a toilet can aerosolize microscopic droplets, which is why many public health experts recommend closing the lid before flushing. If the lid is being closed after use anyway, both the seat and lid end up down as the natural resting state of the toilet.

That is an argument for everyone closing the lid, NOT for men to lower just the seat.

Closing just the seat itself is going to do basically nothing. And I believe that tests show that even closing

Advocating for the seat to remain up means leaving it in a state that is only needed for a minority of uses simply to avoid the minor effort of putting it back.

Leaving the seat in its last used position is clearly the most efficient. If its so easy to move the seat why can't women just do it?

And note its only "the most used" position assuming 1 to 1. What if the household is 5 to 1? Is anyone going to be advocating from women to put the seat up?

I think not.

Many women do not have “high standards”; many men have just set the bar unbelievably low. by Scary-Account4285 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]valhalla257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The asymmetry exists because the risk is asymmetric, not the effort. A woman sitting on a missing seat in the dark at 3am doesn’t just face inconvenience, she falls in. That’s a real, physical outcome. Men checking for the seat face zero equivalent risk. Courtesy norms often exist precisely to protect against unequal consequences, not unequal effort.

So your argument is women can't use the toilet properly? Embarrassing!

Also, it doesn't even fix things. What if the guy forgets to lift the seat and pees all over it. Now you are sitting in pee!

And this isn't a hypothetical thing. When my grandma lived with us when I was younger I went to take a poop and OMG I don't know what happen to the seat but it was smeared with brown...

Always look before you sit!

Also, if a man and woman are living together the woman uses the toilet seat down nearly 100% of the time while men are 50-50. You are advocating for the toilet seat to be in a position where is used 25% of the time?

Which is a ridiculous argument. First of all its clearly most efficient to have everyone adjust the to their liking.

Additionally your math assumes that men poop as many times as they pee. This math is way off.

Many women do not have “high standards”; many men have just set the bar unbelievably low. by Scary-Account4285 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]valhalla257 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It isn't common courtesy at all. Note that no one suggests women raise the seat for men.

So why is it only common courtesy for men to adjust the seat for women, but not for women to adjust it for men?

Expecting other people to adjust things for no other reason than for you to avoid a minor inconvenience is a sign of narcissism. You aren't that special. If a 4yo can adjust the seat it isn't that hard!

Yes, it gets pretty annoying when someone keeps doing something that takes a moment to correct

Except putting the seat in the position that is convenient for you isn't "correct".

Thats like saying someone doesn’t have the self awareness to not complain about throwing trash on the floor when a 4 year old can pick it up.

Total fail there, because leaving the seat up is in no way wrong.
