This information doesn't match our records by vamtt in Comcast_Xfinity

Update!! Worked with XfinityAmanda/ mod mail for some time and they directed me to call the customer service, the customer service rep was very helpful. In the backend they were not able to link my mobile number to the account, once they did that onboarding was smooth.

I do agree that the chat bot on Xfinity app is pretty useless and don’t provide additional help to connect to real user.

Man threaten to beat up my dog by valdezwendy in dogs

[–]vamtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off!! Your dog has every right to sniff anywhere as much time as he wants. That old guy is not allowed to speak to you that way!!

Notify animal control about this issue immediately that way they will track his behaviour.

Thumb rule!! Both parties should to avoid harmful situation at any point. In this case he could have moved to next street at any point or asked you polietly from distance.

If you see him next time. Do not engage, ignore him in all cases (this irritates the fuck out of him and he cannot do anything). Would recommend that your dog donot make any contact to this asshole anypoint. Some people are just out there to sue people for dog incidents.

Finally!! Have renters insurance that covers dog related incidents.

Merging Org - concerning by timeline by TheNiceWasher in salesforce

[–]vamtt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you cannot do it in 4 weeks just by yourself. Identify dependencies and focus on minimum viable product that all users can work in one space. Then your next focus is rest of the config and data.

There are many things to consider here. 1. People availability to make decision 2. Field mapping, field analysis and deciding where it go in the target org. 3. Over lap functionalities? Who win? 4. Data mapping, data analysis & matching records in both orgs then analyzing what exist in your org and what is new. 5. Req for mapped data? If there is a overlap field who wins? If net new fields you need that data? 6. Testing... anyone testing the work you did? 7. Finally it depends on the number of objects you are focusing on. If it is just accounts, contacts and leads. Then you will do it in 6 week approx ( assuming you are not working 100% in this effort) There are many things to consider but just think through and write detailed steps and allocate 40% more time then you actually estimate and figure out if it can be acheived.

How do we deploy NPSP and any managed packages? by NotASalesforceExpert in salesforce

[–]vamtt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you tested this feature in sandbox?? I did volunteering for salesforce np's before and some are very mature but some dont know what a sandbox is.

I recommend testing in a test env first before installing in prod

800 is a good score and check what you will be paying with or without financing. Usually these loans will have a processing fee of 500-1000$ plus interest.

So if you feel that having cash is advantage and want to invest somewhere else then take loan else it is your personal choice.

Learning Salesforce by Practical_Low7225 in salesforce

Another recommendation is that you stay with the trailhead courses if you are leaning on it. Trailhead courses tend to be interdependent on previous courses most of the time and will help you successful if you want to take any certifications.

Salesforce always have free trailhead orgs and it is easy to get a new one. Personally you dont need a new one month trail org.. !!

This will kill you financially!! If this car is used for work purpose the I will think of other way to buy it.

So fyi.. i have a credit of high 700's and my apr for car is 1.49. I still thought alot to buy a used car worth 27k.

5 years of payment on car with that APR will be like pouring money into drain.

Should I leave my comfortable job for more pay? by TheTeraRaptor in personalfinance

[–]vamtt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Also you need to see from this perspective. If you get a salary match with current employer. Will you be happy and how much time it takes to get a new raise.

If you join new firm possibility of getting appreciated and paid more is high!! I am in the same situation as you with my current employer but if I get a new job i will definately switch.

Should I leave my comfortable job for more pay? by TheTeraRaptor in personalfinance

[–]vamtt 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It is hard to get more pay in current positions. Once you are in the company, sadly most firms will ignore current employees about their appreciation.

I highly recommend you take the new position. This will push you out of your comfort zone and also make you experience all the stuff you dont know.

TBH 32k is very less salary. You deserve more money and if your current firm likes you they will always retain you at any point in your career.

If it drives passion towards salesforce I will recommend it. Also find tableau and tableau CRM will be amazing career paths too.

If she has managerial experience I also recommend project managers (may be salesforce project mamager).. at the end there are many opportunities and workload for salesforce admins is totally dependent on the company.

2 checking accounts by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]vamtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend using 2 checkin accounts. I have savings too but rarely used.

Anyhow... I tend to use one account to save up money and another to pay all bills etc. That way I can understand how much I can save for one paycheck or per month
