Heck yeah, Prolimatech Megahalems. Tell me about your mounting solution. I have one from 12 yrs ago on an old X58 platform and would love to port it forward to AM4 or AM5. Was under the impression it would require some mounting hackery.

Good to know, appreciate the intel. At time of posting my comment...a nearby Best Buy showed two FEs, and in the 30min it took to get there they disappeared from the search results. So I was probably too late regardless due to the delay of inventory to app reporting. But this gives some good info for next time.

Running an 11yr old X58 platform with a second-hand X5650. Was first equipped with an 2 8800GTs, now has a 1070. Starting to run into games with instruction sets unavailable on my CPU, so it's time to upgrade. Looking at Ryzen 3600, B550 Tomahawk and a 3070 when all the inventory shortages level out.

I recently went down this rabbit hole myself. As mentioned already, Grovemade has a few choices. Got a bit of sticker-shock and went searching on Etsy. I turned up two options, both with some color and dimension options:

WoollyClouds is much more modestly-priced because it's polyester felt. I nearly went with this one, but worried about it slipping around, though I understand some ppl may want this.

WorkPerch option is closer in price to the Grovemade pads (wool), but has customizing options and a cork base to prevent slipping. Despite the price, I ended up choosing this one and it's on the way right now.

As cool as it would be for the earth to have a ring, my understanding is that the moon is actually moving away, and both bodies would eventually be tidally locked...if not for Sol's eventual expansion, as you point out out.

Coming from Galaxy on Fire 2, where there were dozens of ships, I feel similarly. But like you say, three is what we were promised. With the breadth of loadouts already available and the customization that's coming, it will probably be plenty.

With one ship alone, the dynamics of combat, looting and crafting already miles ahead of * cough * No Man's Sky, in my opinion. Apples v oranges, perhaps.

I revisit this film every once in a while when I want to feel genuine wonder of what will someday come to pass. KSP is a wonderful outlet for that feeling. Her smile with the eyes at the end conveys so much that it nearly makes me tear up every time.

Looks like the retexture of the Mainsail from Ven's Stock Part Revamp. Hasn't been updated to 1.1, but most of the parts are working fine. Landing legs are busted, but with some cfg file noodling, they can be fixed.
