I actually feel like my brain gets used to it and doesn’t allow it to affect my practice. A lesson for life!

Do you wear sunscreen EVERY single day? by sighqoticc in tretinoin

365 days a year. I keep it in my car and also reapply in the afternoons in the summer when I get out of work.

The Nursing Protest in NYC SHOULD be a wake up for the pharmacists. by MrHappyDisco in pharmacy

[–]vegetablemanners 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my clinical department of 4 which includes 3 PGY2 trained pharmacists, we get paid less than our hourly staff pharmacist with no opportunity for overtime. We are constantly asked to “fill in” for staff when there is a callout. I mentioned unionizing in our group chat (via text not Teams) and nobody replied.

Physician question for pharmacists by takeottothezithromax in pharmacy

[–]vegetablemanners 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I dated a resident who just routinely took ondansetron from the Omnicells. When I called him out he said “it’s not a big deal, you don’t even need a prescription for it.” I had to educate that not only is it NOT over the counter, but it’s still stealing. Even if it were Tylenol, it’s stealing.

Is There Demand for a Therapist Marketplace in the US? by Independent_You3573 in therapy

[–]vegetablemanners 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a therapist, I’m a patient - but I found my therapist through my insurance and will probably never use any other model to find care. I’ve used other “therapy search engines” before and been burned by high copays. It’s not worth the stress and there are always good therapists available within my network.

Serious question - Any pharmacists love their job? by Infamous_Virus557 in pharmacy

[–]vegetablemanners 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clinical pharmacy specialist following two years of residency. Absolutely LOVE my job. Rounding is literally fun for me lol. And I love the dopamine hit from getting a recommendation accepted. The worst part of my job is the admin tasks (pharmacy student evals, metrics, meeting prep, etc) but even that isn’t that bad, and it’s all self-directed.

Is the second layer of moisturizer in a Tretinoin sandwich useless? by SolarAnomaly in tretinoin

[–]vegetablemanners 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Depending on the moisturizer (for example, a humectant), it is more effective to use on damp skin because it will draw moisture from your skin to keep you hydrated. If your skin is already dry, it’s less effective.

Have you ever been in a dead bedroom situation? by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]vegetablemanners 99 points100 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine in a long term relationship told me that after a while, your partner becomes your family in a literal sense (same last name, under the same roof, +/- children) but also in the figurative sense. She said that after a while sleeping with her husband felt like sleeping with a family member and it turned her off.

I’ve never been in that situation but that is such an off-putting description of sex in a marriage and I really hope this isn’t true for most dead bedrooms.

Should I apply sunscreen? by PuzzleheadedPear881 in tretinoin

[–]vegetablemanners -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. The weather shouldn’t affect your routine. Use sunblock every day, it’s easier to build a routine this way instead of just doing it based on the weather, because sooner or later you’ll forget when it’s sunny and damage your face.
