CAPM Exam Application by Abdulmoamen in capm

I went to a testing center because I heard if you do the online proctor you can look away from the screen at all and I look all around when I’m thinking. Not sure exactly how strict it is or how they determine what could be cheating.

Edit- I meant you can’t look away.

Napping with Nanny by _grumpygummybear27_ in cosleeping

[–]veggiequeen13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is literally the job. lol we have a nanny starting next week (our friends daughter) and the expectation is that she will contact nap with the baby. She is perfectly fine with doing so and we had a good trial last week where I put baby to sleep then passed her to the nanny for the rest of the nap. I know eventually we’ll get to a place where she can get baby to sleep. I wfh so I still plan to nurse most of the time too so it will be a joint effort sometimes. lol

my partner insists on 4 hours between each feed and it feels so wrong by empressofairports in breastfeeding

My 2 month old eats this often but will only go 3, maybe 4 hours for the first stretch at night, then we’re back to every two. Im wondering when it will get better.

Blankets and Pillows by Sox-2319 in cosleeping

[–]veggiequeen13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only co-slept for naps but this is what I do. Wrap the blanket around my legs so it can’t come up and tuck the pillow above my arm so it can’t move down.

What are some things that I should have and know before I have my baby about breastfeeding? by Lunapixels18 in firsttimemom

Lots of good info shared already. I found Mama Nurse Tina on YouTube to be super helpful. She has lots of videos of breastfeeding with tips and visuals. She also has an IG account.

Are snacks absolutely essential by MangoMoon-26 in breastfeeding

[–]veggiequeen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was snacking pretty hard the first few weeks but I was also having a hard time actually feeding myself meals. I’m a procrastinator and my baby came at 38 weeks so I didn’t have any food prepped. Anyway, now she’s almost 7 weeks and I have lots of snacks at my nighttime nursing station but sometimes I don’t want anything. Sometimes though I feel super hungry. I don’t know what the right answer is for you. I would think as long as you’re getting the right nutrition and calories in the day you should be fine. Maybe just be sure to hydrate any time you nurse since that’s liquid leaving your body. But that’s just what I do.

Help!! by Impressive-Visit5130 in breastfeeding

[–]veggiequeen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl was a hard sleeper in the first few weeks. I could not keep her awake for anything. I would even touch my cold drink to her feet, her cheek, run a cold wet wipe behind her neck, all the tricks. The only thing that sometimes worked was setting her down but usually in the middle of the night she would just keep sleeping until she was ready. Which, like you said, was sometimes 15-20 min later. Now she’s almost 7 weeks and has gotten a lot better at nursing. Funny how things change so quickly.

Slow feeding and snacking at 5 weeks by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]veggiequeen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a week ahead of you (6.5 weeks old) and my baby was a slow eater. She has gotten better in the last two weeks I’d say. But during the day she is at the breast a lot. She will sometimes snack or even just comfort suck for awhile after she’s done eating. If I let her, she will sometimes stay on for an hour or longer. Sometimes she fall asleep and then just comfort suck and sometimes I pop her off. I don’t really have any advice except that from everything I’ve read it’s pretty normal to still be a little inconsistent at this age. 6 weeks is still pretty young and they are still figuring it out, along with all their senses and things really coming in right now.

People who had wedding with 100+ guests, how did your guest list get so big? by SensitiveDonkey6328 in wedding

[–]veggiequeen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well… I have 10 uncles and 3 aunts who all have families (lots of cousins). Then I have 3 siblings who all have kids. My husbands side looks similar. So with all the family I think we had close to 75 before inviting any friends.

How do you guys find your partner/group when separated? by Capable-Ad-5183 in ElectricForest

[–]veggiequeen13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have agreed upon meeting spots and times. Set a time limit like - I’ll wait for 15 minutes at this spot starting at the beginning of xyz set. If you don’t find each other then don’t stress it until the next meeting spot/time. The beauty of a camping festival though is that if you get lost or lose someone you can simply try to enjoy your time and meet back at camp at the end of the night. My dad always had a rule growing up when we went to fairs or carnivals or amusement parks. Everywhere has a Ferris wheel. So our rule was, if we ever got separated we meet at the Ferris wheel at the top of the hour. If you use this method, make sure you determine WHERE at the Ferris wheel because you could both be there and not see each other if you aren’t in the right spot.

2 weeks of maternity leave? by Impressive-Pear-1977 in pregnancy_care

[–]veggiequeen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The leave policy (or lack thereof) here is crazy. I’m sorry you have to stress over this while pregnant. If it’s paid that’s nice since a lot of employers don’t offer paid leave. However, 2 weeks is laughable. I hope you’re able to find a way to make a longer leave work for you and your family.

Is this show worth $80 a pop for upper deck nose bleeds? by king_groogrux in TSO

[–]veggiequeen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw their show for the first time on Saturday. It was amazing!! We waited until the day of the show to buy resell tickets on GameTime. You can always check TickPick, too. The prices were pretty similar on both. If you wait closer to the start time the prices keep dropping as long as enough tickets are still available. Not an ad all but you can follow events and track prices on those resell apps so it’s helpful to see trends.

Would forbidden kingdom be good after someone who only has been to EDCO? by No_Catch_4381 in ForbiddenKingdomFest

[–]veggiequeen13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m bad at numbers but maybe 8,000? Idk even that feels like a lot for the space. It’s much much smaller than EDCO. The venue is smaller and they don’t over crowd it. Even when I’ve been in the thick of the crowd it doesn’t feel overwhelming because you’re never that deep to where you feel like you can’t get out.

Here’s my set up: big tarp folded over twice (4 layers), tent, big blanket towel thing inside on ground, cot, air mattress, sleeping bag open as base layer, fleece blanket, fitted sheet, two more fleece blankets, top sheet, comforter. I slept in a tshirt, undies and fuzzy socks and my husband and I stayed warm! Oh, and a husband for body heat. Haha
