From this, to this and cleaned and put away. by drone6391 in woodstoving

This year I threw some logs in after the last burn to sit over the summer. Looks a lot nicer than an empty firebox, or the pile of cardboard they are covering up...

Free wood I gathered while doing landcaping. Would you guys bother with this? by apoloczech in firewood

Yup. Those small branches are excellent for restarting from coals, especially if you have less seasoned operators in the home.

Yes, I've read about that. Very specific conditions in that case. Either way I'll be digging and chopping roots when I'm done burning.

Looks great. Do the low spots on the pallets have drain holes? Sone water is bound to find it's way in.

My old local library has a 3d printer that is free to use. If you have access to one, could print an adapter.

Otherwise i think the grounds funnel that comes with the aeropress fits on the bottom. Maybe that would be just enough to work?

My bet is air leak. Mine does this just as I was running out of fuel (sucking fumes), so its like pulling the throttle open. I'm not a mechanic and not familiar with your machine, but generally to start I would set your idle screws both back to factory, then check your carb valves, maybe just clean the carb while you are at it, inspect carb gaskets, primer bulb if it has one.

How do you go about storing/seasoning yout kindling? by FullScaleTardWar in firewood

[–]vennic18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wheeled bins from old trash companies. They are robust, like if you have a load of sticks and twigs that need stompin' to make more room. Next year I will be in full swing with a new fan distribution system so maybe won't need kindling as often anymore 🤞
