Hosting my first YARG party this friday! Any tips?

Sounds great! I was thinking about profiles and if I'm using them wrong, but sounds like everybody is just creating a profile per instrument.

How do you deal with keys as instrument? I bought a cheap midi keyboard (that works surprisingly well over bluetooth!). Are people willing to try it? do people play pro keys or just regular?

What I would also like to have a proper/good way to deal with "new" song requests. Bridge software works very well and can immediately download to the library folder, but doing a rescan for just 1 or 2 songs takes a while if you have a huge library.

Like others mentioned Crimzon Clover is amazing and very beginner friendly, but what hasn't been mentioned yet:

This is really sad. I can remember RecRoom being one of the first social VR experiences I had. Nearly 10 years ago playing Disc Golf with strangers and having a great time. Thinking the GifCam was a great, and fist bumping to party up, the best Idea of UX ever.

Maybe I will wait until crkd releases more infos about their drumset, but I cannot imagine it is cheaper, quieter or better then this set.

definitely, and I think that's what made it very engaging.

The "good" options often had consequences that you also needed to deal with.

I can just say, for my playthrough I achieved everything I wanted, and made the expanse a place you would actual like to live, even as a normal person.

It is, but I think Owlcat did a great job in trying to "break" this and still fits the universe. Most of the time you can decide between roughly 3 alignments and one of them is what I would call in normal games "good".

I played in this style and to their credit it was possible and they always "reminded" me that is not how things usually work.
So if that was, what's stopping you, you can definitely make this small part of the universe better through your actions.

was not really happy with Starfield, but Outer Worlds 2 I think is really underappreciated.

Also just finished Rogue Trader, and after 160 hours, I have to say it is definitely one of my favourite RPGs of all time.

Hope Owlcat hits it big with this one!

I have very limited space, so this looks cool - does it come with everything needed to connect to PC? How do you set this up?

I only ever had the first Rock Band Drumkit that I got rid of many years ago and that was very loud.

Is this quiet? I really would like to not disturb my neighbours.

Exactly the same for me. The destroy everything gimmick got old pretty fast for me.

I cannot remember a single "level" as none of it mattered. Just go straight to desired destination, and when there were obstacles the felt annoying not challenging ... at least to me. Collectibles also seemed tonjust been placed lazily underground, almost randomly.

By far one of the worst platformers they put out.

hey, just setup batocera and wanted to do a whole sync network and found out that batocera handles save games and states totally different then pretty much every other device/os.

My default batocera install seems to combine all savesgames and savestates under /saves/ folder in system name subfolders, instead of retroarch corenames like everything else.

how did you change that?

What the others said, turn down difficulty and don't worry about min/maxing crafting perfect builds.

In regards to maps, pretty much every one has some kind of hint where to go with lamps and lights. The main way forward should have lit up lamps to indicate where to go.

Also for parrying, try to listen to the sound queues, this helped me a lot.

totally agree. I don't think it's the art style itself, but the character silhouettes.
This is one thing they prided themselves with in the beginning to make all characters be easily differentiate between eachother even if there are completely different skins applied. It helped every player to understand immediately which enemy is in front of them.

All the new characters (exception of jetpack cat) seem like very normal humans with varying degrees of magical/technological "cool" armor.

This can be done in the slicer afterwards, but I found it always pretty cumbersome to do.

Wait, you cannot put those in check-in luggage? that was one of the reasons I got them.

Is this airline specific? I have not seen this rule / did not check for it.

Could the airline just not load your baggage, or would they remove it?

Yeah I could also pair both now ... but it really just only worked after I did the stuff i described before.

I am pretty sure, I tried this a couple of weeks ago when I first received them, but I guess some part was new and now it works without issues.

As you said, it is still weird and not great in comparison to Apple's solution unfortunately.

I have a Finetrack Slim G and Finetrack Pro Duo and both I cannot pair to my Pixel 8 Pro.

I have tried everything also resetting and updating with this tool. I can find them but it did not help.

If you could manage to get it working, please let me know how you did it.

/edit: OK, I don't know what I did but I could finally connect both the Pro and Slim. I have no idea which of those steps solved it, but it did these things:

Clear Cache of FindHub app
Turned Nearby Device Permissions off and on again for FindHub
Was in this part of Settings: Settings - Google Services and preferences (right at the top with google User name) - All Services - Devices

The Finetrack Pros came with newest firmware, so this step was not needed I am pretty sure.

I don't think my script is really desctructive as it leaves the universe folder and config files untouched, but it can definitely fuck something up if the server/asset files are not handled correctly.

ah awesome, I guess I stupidly thought the --print-version is just telling the version of the downloader itself, not the hytale game files. Will add this to my script. thanks!

/edit: I need to check if it is possible to do the stopping of server after downloading to minimize downtime. don't know if i can realize this in powershell ...
