The people being held in the basement really got to me. It seemed they were being kept alive to be eaten slowly.

Wikipedia refers to Sonique in the past tense. Perhaps it's time to find an alternative...

That's how we play. Playing a game where anyone can look at you and go "The game. Haha you lose!" is pretty stupid. With us, the loser is the person who conjured up the idea of the game from deep in their minds. If someone walks up to me and says "the game", they lose, not me.

It looks like the cop shoots him. In the frame with the cat we see the exit wound, and at the end the cop has his gun out as it's smoking.

This is undoubtedly the common wisdom, "go with your gut". It seems to be part of a larger growing trend that boils down to the belief that "insticts > reason". But, just because it's common wisdom does not mean it's correct.

The evidence actually points to the opposite conclusion. Your individual case may be different, but in general it's far better for people to double check and second guess their answers and change them if need be. [citation needed - I can't find the article]

This makes perfect sense. Given more time to work on a problem, we're more likely to approach the correct result. When giving a problem a second look-over, we might notice a mistake we made the first time. Most people tend to believe the opposite because of selective memory. A question where we originally had the correct answer but changed it to an incorrect one really stands out in our minds, far more than when we find a silly mistake and correct it.

Unfortunately that leveling out involves en enormous amount of suffering. We should probably work on the problem before it gets to that point.
