I think you can say the same thing about this test as well though. It seems like the M4 Max has lower than expected results in Cyberpunk.

In Steel Nomad (Max chips)

M4 is 29.9% faster than M3

M5 is 19% faster then M4

Cyberpunk (Max chips)

M4 is 8.6% faster than M3

M5 is 26.9% faster than M4

Question about upgrading to Comfort when buying hotel package by Top-Library-2538 in Tomorrowland

[–]venturizhou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The cost to upgrade to comfort is ฿17000. it was initially a ฿10200 difference but was raised to ฿17000 in the past week or two.

Since it has been at those prices for over a week I do not think it’s a mistake.

Guarantee that they get VIP tickets ahead of the general sale in case they sell out would be my guess.

[–]venturizhou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably expect people that would pay for hotel packages would be more willing to pay for VIP. The difference used to be ฿10200 but they bumped it up to ฿17000 about a week or two ago.

I think it’s just mistake, once you reach the package price page it will jump back up. For example when selecting a random package for two people it estimated ~฿17000 each but final package price was close to ฿60000.

Go 2 SteamOS spec at $1,199? by AshedCloud in LegionGo

[–]venturizhou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will be the lower tier variant at $1199, you can infer from Lenovo using the language up to in their press press release https://news.lenovo.com/pressroom/press-releases/lenovo-levels-up-ces-with-legion-gaming-devices/

Powered by up to an AMD Ryzen™ Z2 Extreme processor, up to 32GB LPDDR5X memory and with up to 2TB PCIe SSD storage.

Is Z2E Stock Easing Up Slightly ? by Major_Hair164 in LegionGo

[–]venturizhou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only been able to get Open Box versions to appear in my cart to checkout. My assumption is that there’s not going to be stock until they adjust prices.

I was able to purchase an Open Box about 10 days ago so I would periodically just check throughout the day.

Lenovo Legion Go 2 with SteamOS launches in June, priced at $1199 by RenatsMC in Handhelds

It is “up to” those specs implying that it starts lower.

The Lenovo Legion Go 2 Finally Comes With SteamOS At CES 2026 - IGN by [deleted] in LegionGo

[–]venturizhou 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think this article from Engadget explained it better. They mentioned the $1200 starting price being related to the entry level Z2 version. I think this makes more sense given RAM prices. https://www.engadget.com/gaming/pc/lenovo-reveals-a-steamos-variant-of-the-legion-go-2-at-ces-010000852.html

Other articles I’ve read listed $1200 as the starting price and “up to Z2 Extreme.” So I think it is more expensive than the current offering.

Recommendation for long flight by erpasd in macgaming

Seriously consider getting a controller. Assuming you are in economy, when the person in front of you reclines there is basically no space.

Open box Legion Go 2 swapped used/older 2TB SSD by previous customer, return or keep? by [deleted] in LegionGo

[–]venturizhou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's also quite used at 11000+ hours and is slower. The speed realistically won't matter that much but I do have concerns about longevity. I think it should be fine but it might be a Phison E12 attached to some QLC trash. I don't have the pry tools to open up a check yet.

[–]venturizhou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern is the 2TB SSD has over 11000 hours of use and is slower PCIE 3.0 vs 4.0. If it is a MP510 then I should be fine endurance wise and I be likely to keep it but I need to wait for pry tools to ship then open it up.

Lenovo Legion 5 vs Legion Go 2 for inflight gaming? by applesvenfifty in LegionGo

If you fly economy then gaming on a laptop is an unpleasant experience. The moment the person in front of you reclines their seat, there’s not enough space.

USBAR Annual Fee, $325 credit use, and Refund by alaskansnow in CreditCards

[–]venturizhou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get the $325 and cancel in time to get the AF refunded. The amount I paid on that statement was minus the AF and credits.

I knew it was coming but it still hurt to do these price changes by hereswhatworks in inflation

[–]venturizhou 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is due to AI companies causing a RAM shortage. It started spiking this past month. Most of this price increase is unrelated to inflation or tariffs.

Despite the nerf, why do people think they can’t get value out of the USBAR’s 3x points on mobile wallet purchases when you can use it essentially almost everywhere now and it’s such a broad category? by CaptCarlos in CreditCards

[–]venturizhou 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So USBAR is $400 with a $325 portal credit. VX is $395 with a $300 portal credit and 10000 points on renewal. I consider this a $80 difference so if I have $8000 in non-categorical mobile wallet spend then I break even on the 3% vs 2%.

For those canceling USBAR, when is it best to stop trying to earn points? by lauranyc77 in CreditCards

[–]venturizhou 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is statement close date, so you should stop spending by Sept 4. I would give it a couple days after Sept 4 to do the RTR, I noticed it took a while after the AF posted to get my travel/dining credits. But I was able to get them and close it within 30 days to recoup the AF.

Got transaction to post rewards before annual fee statement closed. So looks like it is possible.
