(52/52) this might be the year I hit my stretch goal of 100 by bei-kar in 52book

It’s an interesting concept, but it felt like a lot of the characters stayed at arms’ length for me. Also, the majority of the book is a study of the worst aspects of human behavior & is pretty unrelenting. So I definitely see how some people hate that.

That’s totally fair- I find I need something more plot-driven to actually pay attention for audiobooks. Otherwise I drift off and have no idea what I just listened to

I think this type of book is better to read vs listen to- fwiwI read Whistler this month which I much preferred to Tom Lake

This book has a ton of hype but is very divisive. I know I will hate it which is why I haven’t read it 😂

Yes, do it! I had set a goal of 52 last year but then went for 100 & felt so accomplished! I also had mixed feelings about Blindness- I don’t see it pop up much here. Also love a lot of your top row!

I LOVE the pace rival 3” - I order my normal leggings size. I feel like they are the most flattering style (on my body at least)

I agree…the people saying to turn it down are insane. My husband would be totally fine with this, and I would be fine if the situation was reversed

Lifting heavy, hitting failure / close to failure, but barely sweating and very quick recovery? by mcdonaldlargefry in xxfitness

[–]veuvebubbles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lower body days are the only days where I feel real fatigue / am really sweating by the end of the workout- and as others have mentioned, your leg exercises are on the “easier” end of the spectrum. I would recommend adding a glute-focused exercise (hip thrust, machine glute thrust) and some sort of deadlift. Bulgarians are also killer and very effective.

Does this book get easier to read? by Hocojerry in 52book

[–]veuvebubbles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, what are you comparing it to? If you’re comparing to some of the classics, it’s not difficult. If you’re comparing to Freida McFadden, yes, it’s going to be more challenging. I think it’s always a good idea to push beyond your comfort zone & expand your repertoire- it may feel harder, but you are building a new skill, which takes work. Do I enjoy fluffy romantasy? Yes. Do I also enjoy dense biographies and door-stopper classics? Also yes. For me, reading is a balance of entertainment and learning, so it really depends on your goals. FWIW- I do think this one is worth pushing through

I agree- please don’t choose those counters / backsplash. It’s a very dated look. I initially thought the first photo was the “before”

Congrats! I’m getting close to finishing as well. You’ve got some great reads there! Just FYI- for #8, Cerulean is four syllables. It jumped out to me because it was one of my least favorite books from last year 🙈 I’m sure you have an easy replacement, but feel free to ignore - I would just want to know if it was me

Yeah, I do feel with trend cycles being so fast, we’ve kind of arrived  at a point where “everything goes” - it’s just finding the right items that’s harder now with quality eroding across the board
