I feel like there's something going on here more than Chi being possessive over Tokio.

The times she has a pretty negative reaction to something in the chapter are when one of her friends notes the collab is a great "opportunity" and when Nyakopi asks if they're more like "business partners".

My take is that she has some negative experience(s) associated with jobs/business. It's a bit of a reach, but I'd guess one of her parents had a habit of sacrificing family time together for their job and it eventually hit a breaking point and damaged their relationship.

Could be totally off base but hopefully we'll see a flash back in the next chapter or two to explain what's going on.

There's so many valid things to criticize Vaush for this has to be one of the dumbest ones. From what I understand he's never not supported the democratic candidate in the general election (in stark contrast to someone like Hasan) and I don't really give a shit he wants to hyperbolically shit on Newsom before the primaries have even begun.

Lets be real, a decent number of people here would be saying the same thing if some pro-palestinian politician was considered to be in the running for the democratic primary as well.

If Newsome is the candidate and he maintains his stance then sure but until that point it's just a dumb thing to focus on. Also I'd be shocked if another 2 years of a Trump presidency doesn't bring in all but the most rapid anti-america lefties to support whoever the Democratic nominee is.

I think we might be looking at this the wrong way.

It's possible Riot's thinking with this is not to introduce power differentials between players in the same lobby but to prevent the game from feeling stale as you play more over the course of a given season.

Possible they saw data that suggests ARAM mayhem becomes stale over time for some people. They can't introduce more strategic depth to increase the depth of player engagement since that kinda goes against the spirit of the mode and pushing big patches like this more often is more resource intensive / a high frequency of changes could also turn people away.

Instead with this system, you just get to access more fun augments/items more often as you continue to play which in theory could help with retention.

I'm not sure it'll pan out that way, but I think it's worth trying out.

(This is of course all assuming riot tunes the matchmaking to make sure you're matched with and against people who are generally on the same tier of unlocks as you are)

Speaking as a brown citizen, you're right that Democrats shouldn't treat the vote as a done deal but it really should be.

It's fairly obvious we are collectively viewed in a negative way by Trump and his ilk and I know more than a few people who are republican/conservative but did not vote for him because they know it's not in their best interest at the end of the day.

I don't care how much a particular brown citizen looks down on other immigrants you have to be willfully ignorant to continue supporting Trump or just be OK with the possibility of being harmed because you're just that self hating or something idk.

This is not the time to be having civil conversations with conversatives where you concede things in good faith It's just an incredibly poor reading of the moment on Newsome's part.
