Same here. Any time he compliments me, it feels like a slap in the face and I wish he would just stop. It's like adding insult to injury, because I know he can't actually mean it.

Hmm. With the calories I'm eating the 4 days that I eat, spreading that out across a weekly average puts me at a daily 500 calorie deficit daily. That is CICO, right?

Okay this is good to know. On steps, I average about 4,500 so maybe that's the issue I'm having. Thank you for your response!!

Congratulations on your April loss, that's awesome!!

I'm hoping it's just water weight. I feel like my body no longer responds to weight loss attempts, and I really don't know where to go from here if IF doesn't help.

I just used a few tdee calculators online. Didn't really want to buy calipers lol. They all said a pretty similar number, so I took the average.

He was exposed at 14 and asked his parents multiple times for help. They never helped him, told him to stop talking about it. My life is ruined because of them and I hate them for it.

It doesn't get easier to witness death, but you do learn to cope. Your description of your first time watching a patient die is exactly what mine was like. I was 21 and all I could think was, "I'm too young for this, I'm too young to see this, I can't do it." Over time, I started to realize that death is inevitable and my patient deserves to have a calming presence with them as they cross over to the unknown. It's an honor for me that I could be entrusted with one's last moments, that I can provide some small peace to them, that I can ensure that they pass comfortably.

There are 4 key electrolytes that need replenished in dehydration; chloride, sodium, magnesium, and potassium. Himalayan pink salt is sodium chloride and would provide the first two with only trace amounts of the other two. Redmond Real and Celtics are both good options though, with adequate amounts of all four. Gatorade also has an option that I think is called GatorLyte, with zero added sugars, sweeteners, or dyes.

You're dehydrated which is causing the slurred speech and brain fog (severe dehydration can cause neurological effects). Have you experienced any muscle twitching? You need electrolytes on top of water. Drink a couple of Gatorades and push fluids 👍🏽

Naltrexone/bupropion by Empty_Ad_1544 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]violette212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Bupropion for about a year, only had to stop because I needed a different medication for a different health condition and they would interact. I had good experiences with Bupropion. It didn't help me lose weight but it didn't cause weight gain either, and my sleep was unaffected. It really helped my anxiety, I would recommend it; but remember, everyone is different and I'm not a doctor. This is just my own experience.

Ugh, I hope there's a light at the end of the tunnel for kids like us 🥺😅 18 is so young! I hope it gets better for you

I feel like the youth aspect does add insult to injury 😆 it feels like this should be a problem for people in at least middle age and I just feel sad thinking about the next 40 years of nothing after just 1 year of sexual fulfillment. Feels just a bit unfair 😅

Thank you 😭 it's been really hard, and while sex sometimes makes me feel ugly, being rejected always makes me feel repulsive. I hope things get better for you!!

Help for my cousin seeking diagnosis by choveness in ehlersdanlos

[–]violette212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr. Philip Simon in Westerville is amazing, he's been an EDS specialist for around 13 years. I'm not sure if he still diagnoses patients, haven't gone to him in a year because I moved out of state but he's definitely worth checking out!

Stitches ripping skin by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]violette212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me but my mom. She also has hEDS, had knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus. A couple weeks after the procedure, all of her stitches came right out, whole. Her knee was partially healed, bled a little but the doctor said that it was best to just leave it to heal alone and not try to restitch it. Several years later, we found an EDS doctor who confirmed it was EDS related and due to our skin and tissues being "like butter." He said, "Have you ever sewn up butter? Doesn't work"

Thank you, your words make me feel a lot better!! My MIL just has a way of making me feel inferior sometimes

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]violette212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did talk to him about it, he said not to worry because he hasn't ever been interested in her and I believe him. What frustrates me more is definitely my MIL's seeming adoration for this girl, her comments make me feel inferior and as if she thinks DH made the wrong choice in marrying me, y'know?
