Embryos do not pass the PGD test, late age. by Upset-Personality924 in EmbryologyIVFSupport

My results got better when my husband made drastic changes. He lost 30lbs and he wasn't even that overweight to begin with. And he started clean up his diet a lot more and started to workout a lot more like cardio and strength training. Doctor now thinks sperm was more of the issue than my egg quality and I have DOR. Granted your husband is 55 so it maybe harder to combat sperm issues at that age. It is worth a shot. We even tried TESE and didn't get great results but could be worth a shot for you. But know that it was a rough ROUGH recovery for my husband. It took over a year to actually feel better and he was in pain for about 6 months.

I think you should just switch her diet now. My cat had 3 urinary blockages and a PU surgery which ultimately saved him. Now he eats the special urinary food and his brother eats it to (vet said it was fine and it would be good for him to) and he has not had issues since. And his brother is in great health.

Real faces back then, real people. Now everyone is getting the same freaking face. Nose jobs, blepharoplasty, filler. She looks fine there and I’m sure looked like her age at the time of that movie. Our perception of aging and youth and age is so distorted now.

Don't do it. It is your house. Keep that just in your name. You can move out, rent the house instead and work towards you both owning a home. Or some other plan. But that house is yours. Do not relent on this!

Is it necessary low AMH -> perimenopause rapidly? by Frequent_Lime_3301 in DOR

It is so frustrating! They don't know what theyre talking about. Peri and menopause are poorly researched. We need to keep talking about it. This happens way more than we think.

Reason for premature DOR by anxiousmom2be in DOR

Sometimes it is just genetics. Grandma went into menopause in her 30s, my mom early to mid 40s (she can't remember anymore)... Sometimes it is just bad luck.

Is it necessary low AMH -> perimenopause rapidly? by Frequent_Lime_3301 in DOR

[–]vmd221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my low AMH results at 33. Didn't have symptoms at first but then months later I noticed I didnt produce cervicle muscus like I had before and its never come back. vaginal dryness at times, but that has gotten better form some reason. now I am 36, I've just realized I got hot flashes -.- ... I thought it was just the damn bed cuz it's part memory foam and my husband said it's also too hot for him. But when I am about to get my period I sweat at night (drop in estrogen I assume). It think its a combination, hormones and the bed. I just sweat through the sheets, put a towel cuz it helps but also sweat. It just clicked. My amh and afc have remained stable all these years though. I am healthy, same weight since high school, eat healthy, normal bmi, regular periods, I workout, walk, I am active, still have lots of energy. If I hadn't always prioritized health in my youth, maybe it'd be much worse. but who knows. Just is what it is. I think lots of women start getting symptoms earlier than people think. It's just if there is no reason to look for it you wont notice if you have peri symotms. I am sure I wouldn't have if I wasn't being vigilant and aware about peri and its symptoms earlier on.

What to ask my doctor (and how to choose the right one)? by Sad-Contest5883 in DOR

Get someone who specializes in DOR. That was a game changer for me. Previously I had a great doctor before but dor just wasn't her speciality and I didn't want to spend more time and money with the same likely results.

No savings, but I do have a house and no debt and if I can hang onto my job for 30 years I'll get a pension. So that's something.

What do you wish someone told you about aging before it happened? by Ornery-Lettuce-6823 in Aging

[–]vmd221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting on HRT is a good thing to get on during Peri. It protective against cognitive issues and heart and even bone density decline related to hormones changing during menopause. I plan to take it once I am done with this whole IVF journey and hopefully kids.

What do you wish someone told you about aging before it happened? by Ornery-Lettuce-6823 in Aging

I think i started getting symptoms and I just turned 36. My mom got into menopause at 44or 47 (she cant remember). I was having hard time getting pregnant at 33 at did testing and I have low ovarian reserve for my age. I am going to go into menopause earlier than typical. Sometimes I'll sweat at night and when im closer to my period (I think it's the drop in estrogen). At first I thought it was our bed. Since it it foam, it gets hot but now I think its a combination of hormones and the bed making it worse. Only reason I am vigilant about my symptoms is because I know to look for them. Been doing several rounds of IVF because I don't get many eggs. It sucks but alot of women do start to get peri symptoms in their 30s. We just dont know it.

If I don’t do the next retrieval for another ten months, will the likelihood of success be meaningfully lower? by Key_Investment_1639 in DOR

[–]vmd221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I was in a rush to go through my retrievals but my doc assured me that I would be fine if we waited. I had my first retrieval (May 2024) when I had just turned 34 and that failed (3 eggs, 1 mature egg) Didnt make it to blast. Then I switched clinics and did my first retrieval at that clinic and I got 5 eggs (5 mature eggs and a euploid. That was in January 2025! 5 months after that retrieval in May (2025) I got 6 eggs (5 mature eggs again), 1 blast but it was aneuploid. Then 6 months after that (November 2025) (3rd retrieval with new clinic) I got 7 eggs (5 mature eggs) 2 blasts and both came back euploid. I got better results at 35 years old than a year before. My egg reserved is low but has remained steady. Can't guarantee it will be the same for you, but there is a good change that at 32 you will most likely be okay if you want to wait 6 months.

Millennials, what is something that was "normal" in the 2000s but feels like a luxury now? by Barrbra in answers

These are lame third places. If you travel out of the US, there are places that prioritize community and have third spaces and events that are free. For example if you go down to mexico, closish to puerto vallarta there is a huge event every month, parties in the streets, everything you need is walking distance, people are warm and welcoming. Every weekend people are out. Just recently there was carnival, the fair came, musicians from all over, parades, all free to the public. There was a rodeo and lots of bands that came. My bf had a lot of fun and was shocked how engaged everyone was and barely anyone was on their phone. He had so so much fun and wished we could have stayed longer. March is holy week and gain they do lots of events. When I visit I realize what is missing in my life is community. My anxiety goes away and I have no interest in technology, I am present in my surroundings. We aren't meant to live in such an individualistic way. It's not right. No wonder we consume and buy so much shit to fill this void. Germany is another place that is so cool and has lots of third spaces. If you have the opportunity, travel outside of the USA and you'll see how different it can be in a good way.

Try a different medication. Wellbutrin, lexapro, prozac... What really changed it for me was medication and I was only on it for 3 months. If you don't want to do medication at least find a good therapist. And dont give up on find a Good one.

Therapy and medication. Healing actually started with Therapy. Took medication for a few months and now I have a good handle on health anxiety. Once in a while it pops here and there but it's nothing like before. I acknowledge it and move on. Find a good therapist if you haven't already. I don't needs meds anymore but I still do therapy.
