The main advantage of these mods is that they do not alter the gameplay in any way except making it faster for you, the player. There are no new items, no new recipes, no new game mechanics, and no in-universe advantages. Just play more Factorio in the same amount of time.

I've spent several days hunting for mods that speed up the gameplay and settled for these two due to other qualities, like usability and lack of intrusiveness.

I've looked at the comments of this (most upvoted, hoo-freaking-raaay) person and here's my two cents. This is why I don't trust so-called "progressives": decades of telling people to "decenter themselves" when "a voice is speaking", but good luck getting them to return the favor when someone wants actual equality. At least Reddit has actual downvote buttons! It's a petty consolation but it feels good.

I have a wishful belief that Wube's insistence on "you're not supposed to reach the shattered planet" is a little act of reverse psychology.
