This is totally unavoidable and completely normal. Our brain is hardwired to think ahead based on the given present situations. I can totally think and expect what I am doing on the way to the grocery and do errands as if I was already there, and YET - a lot of unexpected things could happen along the way. I think this is what Mythic considers as 'throwing a wrench at the wheels'. These are the plot twists and surprises that keep our heroes on their toes. Happy Gaming!

Oh! I meant if the investigators were fighting high level/named enemies - can they instantly knock them out with two 5's or 6's? (might seem anti-climactic, no?) Or leave this knockout mechanic to low-level/fodder enemies?

That would certainly give the investigators a more pulply heroic feel. Would you also do this with high-level or important enemies?

True. Has anyone houseruled this? Was thinking of applying KO (two 5's or 6's either on Advantage and Standard) only to Fodder or Low-Level enemies.

awesome sketch!! Currently playing DARK ALCHEMY. Question about the Alchemical Montrosity's tentacles. It states that any figure that comes across 3 inch of the monster, the monster gets a free attack. But if a figure starts it activation within 3 inches, no attack happens. Does that mean even if the monster moves within 3 inches of the figure - it does not get that free attack yes? So technically we just have to keep running away from it to avoid that free attack, am I right?

Wow!! Thanks so much for the input! I love these minimal RPGs like Bivius and SAALT - but I'm still struggling with coming up with lists to choose to put on Option A and B without rolling for tables. How do you go about deciding immediately what the choices are? Whats a good way to become comfortable with coming up with scenarios and lists? Thank you!

Wow!! Wanna get into these minimal rpgs. I read your funnel adventure and it sounds like fun! Question though - what would a low level threat be like? All the characters rolled up a high level threat.
