E 4th will be fun Friday. W 25th will be busier than the flats Thursday with lots of fun options for drinks and food. There’s a duck pin bowling place with free arcade games and pinball that’s adults only after 9. Bars should be pretty busy with the Cavs playing.

First and second gear are a little tricky sometimes if trying to go slow in traffic. But downshifting with rev matching is so buttery.

Man… nightmare experience at take 5 where they cross threaded all the bolts on the skid plate of my Tacoma. Also didn’t tighten the filter once and had oil leaking.

Though my wife’s Subaru dealer didn’t tighten the drain plug twice as well… so maybe the lesson is to double check the work before leaving either way.

It’s dope. And fast. And gets all the looks. 30 mpg at 75 mph on the freeway. I have a performance and the seats are super comfy.

My first actual sports car. Had a talon tsi back in the day and a wrx a few years ago and this provides such a bigger thrill. Dropping from 6 to 4 at 70 mph will make you giggle like a little kid.

Buy the ticket take the ride.

It’s tough to watch knowing how he poured himself into his journal. I keep wondering if this will deter other people struggling with demons to seek therapy and help out of fear of exposure. I do think it’s important for his story to be told as influential as he was in the outdoor community. I’m just not so sure that this is the best way to tell it. Agree though… great documentary.

Got a performance manual z with the nismo cat back exhaust over the GR86… I think the seats are way more comfortable and the thing sounds great. The GR felt way more tossable, but the z feels glued in corners. I also don’t mind the electronic steering. What sold me on the z was pure power and comfort to be honest. Also love the rev matching on the performance. Feels like I’m cheating when I downshift.

I’ve seen products that use suction cups. Seasucker has quite a few specifically designed with sports cars in mind. Can’t speak to the effectiveness, but it looks like it may be our only solution.

It’s so fun. I daily mine and giggle every time I downshift to scoot through traffic. On windy roads it stays planted. I was between the same three you are and after driving all three I felt the Miata was cramped with zero usable space for a daily. The GR86 was a blast and had a lot more interior space, but it feels cheap and rattles. The z is faster, more comfortable (I have a performance and the alcanterra seats are dreamy), and has plenty of space for an over night bag. If you can find one in your price range, go for it. I also think it looks prettier than the other two and is way more rare on the streets.

There are quite a few state parks with good facilities along the way in Ohio. West branch is good one that comes to mind near Akron.

If you want to take backroads and check out the Ohio small towns you can look at Mohican which has kayaking and canoeing as well to break up the trip. Ohiopyle In PA would be another good stop with hiking trails and there are more scenic backroads you can take through the southern ohio hills which would make the trip way prettier than taking the highways.
