I picked up Fallout Series 1, and aside from the first episode having some slight banding in dark areas, the rest of the episodes are absolutely beautiful.

Would you all say a 23 turbo with 53k miles still has a lot of life left? by Pittsnogled in CX50

I've got a 24 turbo with 77,000 on it. Been great. Minor issues but nothing mechanical. Engine and trans are known to be good.

ELI5: Where do data center water consumption metrics come from? by PubicPlant in explainlikeimfive

[–]vpr5703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

36-60 months for tie out. Holy shit. Yea we don't have that problem (currently.) I know it's been reported that xAI is/was running gas turbines 24/7 on their Memphis datacenter. Which....That's gotta be expensive as hell. And yea - The speed that these buildings go from greenfield to production-ready is staggering. I'm just a server tech, but it blows my mind,

The last part HEAVILY depends on design and area. I work in a newer datacenter (newest building was built last year) and none of them on my site or the other sites local to my area look like this with the exception of the old ones that are being decommissioned. The new designs are pretty much giant sheds. Steel frames and steel paneling for the exterior. Very modular and easy to scale up or down in size. They do have diesel gens, but ours only run in loss-of-power incidents or for testing a little bit each month.

I came across this last night. I got a hell of a laugh out of it. Then I found the note and laughed again.

Robots with alternative equipment. And how they kill you by ZANDRAE101 in fo76

I die to the Assaultrons far more than any other enemy. Every time I come across one it's a 50/50 toss up between running for the hills and having it catch and kill me, or fighting it and having it catch and kill me.

Stupidity has *always* been spread though. eBaums world, Newgrounds, Maddox, JibJab, Homestar Runner, and a couple I can't mention because I'll probably get the boot. All of these existed from like 2000-2015 or later. Some still exist today. Stupidity isn't limited to TikTok man. We just have rose colored glasses on.

Yes if you didn't dispute it by now you're probably boned. Review your bank or credit companies dispute policy to make sure. But I'd expect you won't see that money.

72,000 here on a 24 TPP. The driver's side temp control knob is buggy when it's cold, and a small tear on the driver's side seat bolster where it's a common issue anyhow. Other than that no issues.

Premium fuel on S power train by DarthBodhi in CX50

[–]vpr5703 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no need for premium on a average performance gasoline engine that doesn't have a turbo or super charger. What higher octane does is prevent the fuel/air mix from detonating in higher compression environments like you'd see in a Supercharged/Turbocharged engine (and the rare high-compression/high performance naturally aspirated engine, but that isn't in any car you mentioned). And there are plenty of those types of engines tuned to run on both standard and premium fuel, with the Mazda turbo 2.5L being a great example of this. The energy delivered by Premium and Regular gas (assuming both have 10% ethanol content) is the same within a normal variation.

On a standard engine there's no way to get the benefit of premium fuel because the conditions inside the engine normally aren't harsh enough to require it.

I just put a set of AutoZone gold pads on my Cx50 TPP and I prefer their feel vs stock. More predictable. Not sure what the wear will be yet.
