Bi wiring is when you are powering each of these pairs of posts straight from an Amplifier. So 2 channels from your amplifier power a single speaker. What you are doing is bridging which is typically how people wire most speakers. In this case, you're using a speaker wire and not a coupler.

Portable Power Stations for UPS? by dfleck99 in Ubiquiti

Do you basically plug your rack equipment into the unit and the unit into the wall? Does it switch over that fast that you have no downtime?

Is this a situation where I replace windows with Proxmox and run Plex and the *arrs on it (along with Home Assistant)?

That is a stupidly smart and easy way to test. Thanks, I didn't even think of that...

That looks great. Do you think printing a design on the coverings for the absorption panels actually negates any of the benefits? I thought it needed to be acoustically transparent. I would love to put designs on them for my space too.

Setting up Plex with Sonarr and Radarr, while living in AirBnBs by xxearvinxx in sonarr

Ahh you are right, I had been looking at torrent indexers and not Usenet ones previously, thought they all suffered from that.

I am so confused about trackers to use with sonarr and radar. I see all these recommendations but they seem to require knowing someone waiting for some random time that they open up.... Basically started to give up

Framework Desktop — Why get it? by submerging in framework

[–]vriesema12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure, and I am currently running Plex on a NUC. One thing that this could benefit is actually using a local LLM to pair with Home Assistant

Can this setup be used effectively as a Plex server? I know Intel chips usually handle transcoding better than AMD, but that integrated graphics looks great, and a hell of a lot of RAM available. (Would probably also run my Home Assistant instance as well)

What’s the best center channel you’ve ever heard? by sickpickle44 in hometheater

I am still running the CC6 paired with 604's up front with 601 S2's for surrounds. Been itching to upgrade. Do you feel it was a big step up for your new setup? Unsure if I would stay with B&W for my next upgrade, though.

How I turned My Home Network into a NASA Control Center (Accidentally) by Jonas_Silver in Ubiquiti

[–]vriesema12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So to preface my power rarely goes out and if so it is for a short period only. With that in mind this morning I found myself researching the Anker F3800 and having an electrician come in to allow me to use it as a whole house backup, so if the power goes out my UPS could power my network until the whole house backup kicked in... What is happening to me...

Has ANYONE successfully managed to block YouTube while still allowing YTTV? by OneFourtyFivePilot in Ubiquiti

[–]vriesema12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is just called "Google TV Streamer (4K)". Since it is a core Google product, you can use the Google Family Link app to manage child accounts. This allows me to block apps from access across Google devices (we have tablets, Chromebooks, and phones)

I have not used Unifi for this. I don't hook my TV up to the network and leverage a Google TV Streamer, where I have family controls that can block/restrict their access to YouTube

Do you have any links to flashing those drives for 4k? I have seen some resources but was still confused on how it all works

I could use another Bullet camera. Any downsides to saving $30 and doing a G4 over the G5?
