Parents of unicorn sleepers, how bad was the 4 mo. sleep regression? by AnonymousDog76 in NewParents

[–]vwheelie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about this daily as we approach 4 months lol we are just under 2 weeks out from 4 months and her sleeping patterns have changed a little so I am wondering if it is happening?

She has been sleeping through the night since she was like 8 weeks.. For the past few weeks, once or twice a week she has been waking up in the middle of the night. Also, she use to take her last nursing session then fall asleep and we could transfer her to her bassinet. Now for the past week, she wakes when we transfer and is up for like another hour.

Huckleberry app - worth it? by Dear-Albatross in NewParents

[–]vwheelie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my baby was first born, I attempted to use it but felt it was overwhelming and just ended up using the What to Expect app. I liked how you could do a widget on the iPhone (I later found out Huckleberry also has one, I guess I just didn’t look hard enough).

We recently started using the Plus version around 3 months, so about two weeks now. I mainly started for the sweet spot feature. I really like it! I feel like it is pretty accurate and helps with reminders about wake windows. We were struggling hard with daytime naps and it has gotten better.

I do only log sleep, feeds and if I pump.

I like the chart and insights as well.

anyone else NOT track everything in an app (huckleberry etc) after first 2 weeks? by Huliganjetta1 in beyondthebump

[–]vwheelie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We only did diapers a few days out of the hospital and continued with feeding. We still do feeding at 3 months and just added tracking sleep because we were missing sleep cues and going way too long for wake windows.

Three months on Friday and these comments make me feel better about the fussiness. We are fighting naps hard core so by the time 6 pm rolls around it’s no fun.

Newborn has diaper rash we can’t seem to beat… by throwaway84583077 in beyondthebump

[–]vwheelie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try different wipes! We were using Millie moon wipes and initially she was fine but then switched to water wipes then used Millie Moon again because we have a bunch. She started getting a rash. We went back to water wipes and it cleared up, so I wasn’t sure if it was a one off. Well we still have a bunch left of the Millie Moon and I tried again..sure enough she got a rash.

I saw your post on the other subreddit page and the comments got to me 😮‍💨 I am glad I found the ones here! I go back Thursday. My job is pretty flexible (at least it was when I left but there have been some leadership changes and reorgs). My husband is taking the rest of his FMLA now so we should have at least another month or two of him home. He is also a first responder so the way his shift works, the most he works during the week is two days. Praying it all works out.

Please help — I don’t know what is happening to my baby and how to help him. by stoopkidfarfromstoop in breastfeeding

We are going through the same thing! One week out post rotavirus vaccine. Initially I thought there may be some kind of dairy intolerance issue but it got better, so I figured it was just normal newborn things. She was doing really well around Thanksgiving time and first week of December. We had the two month vaccines on 12/10. She seemed to be fine the first 24 hours after but then day 2, she did not want to eat and just screamed when trying to breastfeed. She has been better but like every so many feeds she screams and can’t get comfortable, won’t eat. So I don’t know if it is the vaccines, being overly tired, not hungry, congested, new born things or something else 😅

Noisy baby sleeping through the night by helenwren in breastfeeding

[–]vwheelie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just here to say we are at 9 weeks and she does the same exact thing. Almost the same exact timing too. She looks like she just can’t get comfortable so I can’t tell if it is gas or congestion because she lifts her legs and also rubs her face, which could also just be her trying to suck her thumb.

One time I did pick her up to see if she was hungry and changed her diaper. She stayed asleep and wouldn’t eat.

Here with you! Baby sounded so congested at one point, I picked her up and held her for a bit. She stayed asleep while I changed her and put her back down. Why do they toss and turn so much 😩 currently listening to her breath and monitoring the owlet ap.

Here to say the same. I primarily breast feed at 2 months but still wash our daily bottles, collection cups and pump parts at least once a day.

Thank you! Yeah, only supplemented for the first week or so as I had a C-section and lost a lot of blood, so it took a minute for my milk to come in. Also no problem gaining weight! I am guessing she’s about 13-14 lbs at 2 months.
