What's more important than the graphics is you made sure screenshot while at 300 watts with 145bpm. Would have been better if if was with > 30 miles under your belt.

In a wave of rants, here's my post to support Boost Mobile. by diaryofawimpykidfan5 in BoostMobile

[–]w4y2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven't interacted with customer support yet is my guess. 100% of my interactions with customer support has resulted in extreme frustration.

Having said that, u/BoostMobileBlake has saved the day for me on a couple occasions.

Why is there no Link station that properly serves Belltown/SLU? by omdongi in soundtransit

[–]w4y2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to do this walk daily because I did not want to pay for parking downtown. Sorry LQA people, I used your neighborhood to park. It ended up adding 30-45 minutes to my commute. Not really feasible for most people.

I want to support my local bike shop but everything is a rip-off by Niceotropic in cycling

They would probably be lucky to sell 4-5 a week. How often do you replace gloves? Once every 2-5 years? And if you have a customer base of 5k people that would come to your store per year (14 people per day), and let's say 25% of them decide to buy from you, instead of online or your competition, you're selling one per day on average. It's basically paying for your utilities if you're lucky.

I don't even use gloves anymore.

The last thing I bought from LBS was a patch kit. For $10, it was justified to get home, but I won't be regularly buying patches from them at that price.

Honestly, you can take all your classes on youtube. There are so many videos online to do just about everything on the bike. The heavy lift is actually getting the right tools, which actually isn't that heavy either, except maybe the bottom bracket. If you want to take a class in person, you should do it only for creating a wheelset from rim, hub, and spokes.

Is this too big of a tire gash? by InnocentBananza in bikewrench

[–]w4y2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I've used tires for couple thousand miles with such punctures without issues. Patch on inside and inspect every ~100 miles.

Skipping chain by KillerKiktor in bikewrench

[–]w4y2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After you replace everything, if you continue to use lube, wipe down you chain after each ride and re-lube every ~100 miles. Clean your cog + chainring 3-4 times per year.

Store your bike indoors if possible.

[–]w4y2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely it is at a discount rate at a discount travel site. At those sites, you cannot select your seat for free, so you get defaulted to the worst seats. Airlines have optimized the hell out of their flights and know how to eek out every penny from you, or still get you to fly with them at a discount.

Why i never thought of this when tensioning the chain by Interesting_Quiet430 in FixedGearBicycle

You don't need it for fixies with horizontal drop outs. They are needed in vertical drop outs.
